People love this album when they don’t have their algorithm telling them not to. It’s genuinely such a fun pop album.

Not having Swiftie friends, one of my favorite things to do is watch reaction videos and listen to my favorite albums.  Thanks for vibing 🥰

Never thought I would ever get 500 Likes,10K views and 500 subs on Youtube, I was just having fun and i ran into Taylor Swift Music and decided to listen, she is a great artist and her community is electric!! Appreciate you guys so much!! Thanks for all the support!!!

“Father Figure” is about Scott Borchetta, the Big Machine Records executive who signed Taylor when she was just 15 years old. He later sold her music catalog to Scooter Braun, which sparked a six-year battle over the ownership of her music (and ultimately led to the whole “Taylor’s Version” re-recording process). And she won — she got her music back. That’s why she says, “This empire belongs to me.”

I absolutely love this song!!!!

(And sorry for leaving so many comments) 😂

Ophelia comes from Hamlet by William Shakespeare. She is a young woman deeply in love with Prince Hamlet. After Hamlet rejects her and accidentally kills her father, Ophelia falls into a profound state of madness. In her insanity, she wanders around singing sorrowful songs until she falls into a river while picking flowers and slowly drowns.

So, Taylor is essentially saying that her fiancé, Travis Kelce, saved her from Ophelia’s fate — from the melancholy and the madness she was living through, a state in which she was almost “drowning.”

Elizabeth Taylor was a famous actress who had many marriages. Her eyes actually looked violet at times.
White Diamonds  was her perfume brand.

Ruin the friendship is dedicated to her high school best friend Jeff Lang who overdosed . In honor of him she sang this song . His mother publicly thanked her for keeping his memory alive.    Actually Romantic is about Charlie XCX

Father Figure has mad lore behind it. It’s about her getting her master recordings back from when they were sold out from under her.

Ophelia was a Shakesperian characture she was so depressed she killed herself i believe by drowning

Uh oh… have we warned him about track 5’s yet??
Usually her most vulnerable song on the album

Wait till you get to the live performances. That's where she REALLY shines and reactors are even more blown away. 🙏☺️

The reason Eldest Daughter was not put as a track towards the end of the album is because of how personal and emotional it is to her. All track 5 songs on each album of hers are very significant or have a deeply special meaning to her

One more thing for you to know about Taylor on this new journey: the track 5s on her albums are always the most personal songs to her usually the saddest ones, too 😅

If you want to know what the song is about or who is about , you can go on genius. Her songs are 95% about someone and is a true story.

Eldest Daughter being placed there on the album is purposeful.
Her track 5s are known for being the saddest on the album , which I know is subjective , but that's generally how it goes

This is actually Taylor’s most recent album. Came out in October 2025. But you’re right, in “Ruin the Friendship” it’s not about Travis and she is writing about a time in her life when she was younger.

In Actually Romantic - Charli xcx is kind of known for being a ❄️ user. And she’s married to Matty Healy’s bandmate and Taylor was in a songwriting pen-pal type situationship with Matty Healy for 10 years before he ghosted her after they went public with the relationship, inspiring The Tortured Poets Department album that came right before this one. Charli also doesn’t hide her dislike for Taylor on a personal level and has referred to her as ‘Boring Barbie’….. oh, the loreeeeeeeeeee!!!

The last track isn’t about anyone specifically. Taylor is a great storyteller. It’s just about a showgirls life and her fans

In Father Figure, I think when she says “ I protect the family” it is said to refer to her six albums that she was able to purchase and own her first 6 albums/masters. She says it’s six times in this song. Those are just some theories
