So another youtuber who I sadly can't remember right now introduced me to reservoirs! A little metal clip that attaches to the nib and allows the nib to hold a heap more ink.

Also you probably did this but brand new nibs need to be prepped and the anti rust coating removed with a strong soap and/or IPA.

Edit to add I love love love your doodles. I just end up doing squiggles and loads of cubes and shading attempts. 😂 This is a great vid!!

It's crazy how quickly you adapted to the dip pen! You really thrived with this medium. I'd love to see you try ink and wash or anything that adds a pop of color.

I paint with colored inks and for the base layer I like to pick a lineart color, draw it with a dip pen, and then while it's still wet use a watered brush to push the color around like watercolor. It gives it such a nice warm soft look before you go over the lineart again later to make it stand out again.

If you are wanting to do the one line.... get hold of a glass pen as it holds more ink on each dip. Loving this vid... it has given me ideas.

Get yourself a fountain pen! There are so many. Kaweco and Twsbi are good places to start.
