My Art Saved an ANIMAL SHELTER & They Sent Me A Gift…

I created fan art for animal shelters i found online and actually sent it to them… In this video, I draw cursed, weird (and slightly unhinged) fanart for animal shelters with rabbits, birds, cats and other animals. Then I will email the artwork directly to the shelters to see what happens.

Will they reply to my fanart and use it as merch? Well... spoiler alert, THEY DID! And that is not all of it... they also mailed me a secret gift! :o This speedpaint video combines digital art, funny commentary, meme drawings, and fan art nobody asked for. So this video is perfect for you, if you enjoy turning odd but creative ideas into real works of art! :3

I’m a volunteer at Shropshire Cat Rescue! I was so amazed when Georgina said you’d reached out to us and just seeing this all in a video makes me so happy 🥰 your artwork is incredible and I can’t wait to see what we do with your art for us!
Thank you so much Halishy!

I'm from Oklahoma and got my cat from "Don't stress meowt" which is a cat cafe that works with a rescue to get cats adopted! They are such a cool small business with two locations in Oklahoma and they have art for sale in the cafe as well! It would be really cool to get to see them in this series!🦁

🦁As a recipient of the Cat Distribution system, I don't really have experience adopting, but love what these Animal Shelters do :3

Not me trying not to happy-cry at work over the GCCBS updates...can't be me. Stoic and unfeeling. Yes.

This is so cute! I'm tempted to message my local shelter and offer them some art, it seems like such a cute way to collaborate with the community as an artist.

I actually LOVED the last art LOL! It's so cool that the cat retirement village artwork will be getting used :D

I commented about it last time, but I have more to add! You should look up art supply reuse centers or, like art supply reuse stores they're places where people donate used and unwanted, still good, art supplies for artists who struggle to support their work/hobbies financially, can get good materials and tools, food a usually very discounted price.

I, personally, live in Canada, and sadly, there are very few reuse store in our country, but helpful to your goal regarding gifting art to every US state, they have quite a few across their country!

So by making fanart for these kinds of places, you'd not only help them out by spreading awareness, you'd be helping the community the majority of the members in your own personal community (including you or course, lol) belong to!

I feel like this is a perfect type of organization to send at as well as give attention to!

Oh man, all my hours watching Drawfee immediately made me think of lots of challenges for the wheel. You should certainly scroll through their videos. But I'll suggest these three:
- Draw with inverted colors and only invert them after you've finished the drawing
- Use paint only
- Secret subscriber cameo

Omg you’re so sweet for doing that! And congrats on one of your videos reaching 1 million views!

20:00 I would say you used only one color - blue! In two different shades. And when black and white don't count as colors, grey as a mixture of the two neither.

I am a huge animal lover and seeing you give all these shelters such wonderful fanarts is just heartwarming! you have inspired me to try and do the same thing as I've always been fascinated by animal shelters and their work :) I hope you keep making these videos are they are such a joy to watch and hopefully inspire other artists as well! 🦁🦁

I have a suggestion for an organisation I love: There is a Cat Cafe in Auckland, New Zealand called Purrs & Beans. They have recently been on the verge of shutting down, but survived thanks to an outpouring of help from the community. Their cafe cats are rescues and cats who were unable to be adopted, and they also help with rescue cats and kittens, raising them for adoption out to loving families. I am certain they would love to recieve some Halishy art!

Given your success with bird fanart, here is a pitch for a business to help complete your goal for the 50 states: The Parrot Confectionery! It's an over 100 year old business located in Montana, and makes their very own candy & chocolates in the back of the store! I remember going on a field-trip there as a little kid to watch them make candy, and was in awe. Still love the place as an adult too!

I'm brand new to this channel but I have an animal shelter recommendation, it's called Broken Biscuits, it's in the UK
They take care of dogs (mostly) and cats with disabilities, we gave a ragdoll cat called Cookie to the shelter; she was born with inverted legs and it would be difficult for us or many others to care for her needs, so we're ever so grateful for their hospitality ♥️

8:18 I was looking for the meme until I realized the very grumpy face staring back at me. I think that was an extremely clever meme to add and still fit the rescue!

I noticed you didn’t have Mississippi checked off on your state list, so I have a couple of suggestions!!

1. IMMS (Institute for Marine Mammal Studies) - Gulfport, Mississippi (my hometown!!
They are actively involved in the rescue, rehabilitation, release and research of stranded marine animals since its establishment in 1984!

2. HSSM (Humane Society of South Mississippi) the largest animal welfare organization in the state!! I got several of my childhood dogs there when I was young! Again, in Gulfport, MS.

3. The Mississippi Aquarium! The only large aquarium in the state, with an impressive array of animals for how new it is. They are still growing quite a bit and could use the help with getting people to come so they can create new exhibits! In Gulfport, Mississippi as well! 🦁
