man, this might be the best content on youtube I've found. You break down everything perfectly.

Your last rock is how I've started to draw certain items and its how I bust out of creative wall moments.....taking a cool grey/warm grey marker or whatever and placing strokes in different directions.....then going back in with pen and using your imagination to create. Draw sessions channel taught me this a while back for creating sci-fi/industrial type stuff. It works like a charm. Then on top of that I will add color pencil for a splash of color at times.

I'm teaching myself to sketch and was actually starting to notice this in my own work so thanks for this. It was very helpful.

This has been really useful, now I'll go and draw a rock or two myself. The coloring part is my favourite, I feel like adding color gives drawings so much more personality

Style 1 and 3 speaks the most to me but i‘d like to „colour in“ more with hatching. Doesn‘t it get too busy? How would one approach this? Am I complicating things here?
