For the sadistic, ""Friendly Memorable Love" mode (Abbreviated as 'FML mode') is a ENTIRELY RANDOMLY GENERATED Spike layout, randomized on stage change or death.

There are no safeguards. It's ENTIRELY possible to roll completely unclearable layouts over and over. You might even die right at the start, due to spikes spawning at point.
Your reward for clearing it is:

NOTHING! Have fun! :D

30:47 despite the stage being called "The Touhou Project", you can see that the elephant only dies to the black projectiles, not the white ones: meaning this stage is actually an Ikaruga reference

Rin is gonna develop a phobia of elephants at this point.

"I'll be the judge of that!"
They were not, in fact, the judge of that.

I remember playing these 3 games so much when I was in elementary school. I recently discovered the games again, and I find it interesting that the original, the calculator port, and this version of the first game have differences in level gimmicks.
