Portable Dragon Ball games are a gem of liscensed affair.

Not only did they give Raditz one of Mai's Supers, he also has Sean's 3rd Strike ending

The Butoden x Pirate Coliseum bit is still one of the most unhinged things I've ever seen in a game. For lack of any better analogy, imagine a cross-game mode between Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2 where it's the four Survivors against an infinitely-respawning RED Team.

I'm Latin American so naturally my first Dragon Ball game was Budokai Tenkaichi 3 because that's the one EVERY Latin American kid played because it had every single character.

im so sorry, i heard "aura cancelling" and actually laughed out loud. the word is ruined forever lmao

--genuinely though i think fighters built for handhelds are such a fascinating little bit of gaming history.

Sacred Land of the Kais from Extreme Butoden is one of the hardest themes in the history of DBZ games

After Kenshiro it is not impossible to see a Dragon Ball character in Fatal Fury. Maybe we will see the return of Raditz Shiranui?

As someone who has just picked up shin budokai 2 this video validates me in ways I cannot explain.

I'm sure you heard how DB Fighterz and GG Strive are heavily based on a Goku character's moveset and referring to him in the code for the other characters, basically making him the anchor for both of those games. I think it's hilarious that Goku is the Atlas of modern arcsys.

Even though I love how nowadays I can pick up my Switch 2 and boot up Sparking Zero from my bed, these games will always have a special place in my heart. Supersonic Warriors 2 is crazy underrated in particular.

I still remember Supersonic Warriors 2's what if story where Vegeta became a family man, forgot how to go Supersaiyan and was bullied by Goku and Gohan for it. Even as a kid, I thought that was so stupid, and the bad localization didn't help.
