Match of the Millenium KoF & Match of the Millenium Link Chart & Dialogue List by Hiryu_no_Ken_: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ngpc/198682-snk-vs-capcom-match-of-the-millennium/faqs/79104/console-link

Small correction: Bleach: Blade of Fate rewards you with 500k of in game currency for having Bleach Advance in the GBA slot, not 100k.

Also, a sincere thanks to everyone that watches and supports the channel. This video was nothing but a fun idea back in 2024 and I honestly can't believe I've finally managed to put it together, and it's thanks to everyone on both this platform and Patreon that it was even possible. So again, Thank You

The dedication to the topic is admirable. That KOF '99 transfer thing with the characters is amazing in a fun and diabolic way.
Speaking of the second to last game, Zero 3 Upper's arcade version allegedly allowed you to use a World Tour character from the Dreamcast version (due to running on the same hardware). In general, Arcade and console connectivity is always fascinating, if woefully impractical for obvious reasons.

I can't believe Kettō Transformers Beast Wars: Beast Senshi Saikyō Ketteisen is even remembered at all! As a Transformers and fighting game fan who doesn't understand Japanese, I love this little game.

The DC/NGPC connectivity was absolutely MINDBLOWING in 1999 for a young Capcom and SNK fan. Great vid and I learned a ton about some of the games I never picked up as well!

It should be noted, all save data spirits in Smash Ultimate CAN be unlocked without other games. They were exclusive for a while, but were eventually patched into the spirit board pool for all players, aside from the Tockles which are in Hero's DLC spirit board. Dearly Beloved is the only piece of content in the game that REQUIRES another game.

That Dragon Ball save quest is so funny.

But, I love the PS Tenkachi games have done this, especially for a series of interconnectiveness that you often don't see anymore.

That Transmetal tidbit is actually cool and scary lol

God, the delivery of the "f__king wrong" gets me every time LOL
For real though, this was an absolute joy of a video, I love getting into the weeds with stuff like this (and also fact-checking the entire Internet LOL)
And honestly, it's worth losing the Vs Points just to have Iori yell at me for having the audacity to transfer Kyo's data to him xD

I fill a lot of my time and avoid most of my stress by watching random trivial videos.
I really appreciate how niche this topic is, it’s cool to see someone really digging in and sharing info I haven’t heard. Most of these channels just rehash the last channels videos. Props

"the single most niche video on this channel" me, the sicko outside going YES.... YES!!!

Woah what an interesting sounding video.

I can think of non fighting games that can connect to other games to get bonus things but not many fighting games so I'm excited.

7:33 I get it, I for one was disappointed BT3 didn’t double down on the story mode animated cutscenes from BT2.

Talking up Dissidia 012…you know ball, my friend.

Seriously awesome video. The depth and dedication (getting that NeoGeo cable for this is amazing), make it obvious that you love games, and I’m so glad someone like you is documenting these little intricacies and details. Fighting games are more than just frame data and online ranked matches, and I’m glad videos like yours show how neat some of the other features are.

Awesome video, thanks for all your work, and good luck in the future!!!!!

The Yakuza series does this. You can unlock special items at the start of the game if you have save data from the previous games. My favorite one is when start Yakuza 5 with an item that's a reference to the ending of Yakuza 4

Me 30 minutes into the video: Wait a sec... this isn't about Avengers in Galactic Storm!

Super Smash Bros. also rewards players who play the source franchises with knowledge to not look like complete morons thinking the newest Kirby trailer was a stealth new Smash reveal

The first KOF games my older bro introduced me to during the hype of the CVS duology and "MAHVEL, BABY" , was honestly a pair consisting of
Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves and KOF Dream Match 1999. I vividly remember that opening movie with Kyo and Iori duking it out in the streets.

Ultimate was clever with this save data bonuses by putting the spirits in the regular spirit board pool after a while. You didn't need to buy a whole game just for one item and could simply wait. The only exception is the Melody of Memory track, which could be argued that it's technically the most expensive DLC because due to buying a different game and that not being fair to people who just want the song, but it's also not an essential part of the game, so it is what it is.

3:56 no, more of a delivery driver

absolutely amazing video, keep it up, i live for this kinda stuff

The Neo Geo Pocket connectivity, could explain why with Sakura Wars, they tried to also have some connectity with a Spin-Off game on Dreamcast, and a Sakura Wars 1 Adaptation on GBC, it also had a connectivity accesory made, but never released to the public
