Bloody Roar mentioned, I cry in wasted IP.
First video game I ever owned. Miss that series

YYH 120 percent is awesome, basically Tekken/VF with a YYH skin

Whole time you were showed Battle of YYH, I was thinking “ this looks just like Virtua Fighter

35:12 the fact that Pu is a playable character is amazing and blows my mind

I used to play this Yu Yu Hakusho game a lot, I was never good but had fun playing with my brother! Great video!

Thanks for the shoutout !
The Battle of Yu Yu Hakusho 120% is crazy, seeing an anime fighter being very close to VF/Tekken game is just so sick i love this game !
Also Koto is playable in this game but you will have to use a cheat code, she has some pretty funny moves.

I really appreciate this video man. I grew up loving these franchises, and here I am at 31 finally getting to see what was going on over in Japan while I was playing YuYu Hakusho Dark Tournament with my buddies. Liked and subscribed.

No joke GT Final Bout was the first Dragon ball game I've ever played

Love these documentary style retro game videos. Haven't seen any videos on a topic like this either. Earned a sub  👍

2:27 SDBZ mentioned, we ball

Granted, Nen Impact was from 8ing who made MvC3. The problem is apparently they were given basically no budget.

omg i love this style of videogame and topic too, do moreeeeeeee, i have suscribed!!!

Huh, what an odd coincidence.  A few months ago during our last casual FGC meeting before the local arcade closed, I introduced the group to these three games.  Had them since they were new, and am a proud(?) owner of complete saves.  I had a lot of time and patience back then.

14:34 Dawg, this was absolutely diabolical

5:25 to get more than 2 players on the ps2 you need the multi controller adapter. so its not like anybody is stuck only playing 2 players

Great video! I love YYH so much, was for many years my fav anime. Ppl dont like the Tactics Tournament game and while I get that, I do like the game because of the fanservice lol. Just saying, if I'm ok with that quality of a game I might enjoy playing the ones on PS2... Bleach has some fun ones too (even if they're extremely simple).

I really like YYH 120%! It's very much VF moreso than Tekken which I think is pretty interesting compared to other anime fighters at the time (which I also enjoy, to be clear). Great work on this video!

Little known fact: The backbone of Battle of YYH was built off of "EF-12," a fighting game engine made to develop arcade and console 3D fighters. It has very little documentation, with it having only one other official game used from it. (The canceled Dreamcast game, Force Five, eventually rebranded to the lesser Jingi Storm) Comparing footage from the two games, along with some of EF-12's public release, you'll notice some of the same SFX, music, and animations are used.

Holy crap, just by looking at it,FMA dream carnival is literally the foundation of what will become battle stadium D.O.N which released 2 years later ,both were made by the same developer, they play almost exactly the same way...minus the obligatory team fight, actual health bars instead of bars that you can refill by grabing balls your opponent drops when hit,2 lanes and the special moves needing time and cover to actually pull them off. I noticed the jump, turning around and running animations are almost 1:1, FMA seems to have more fleshed out attack animations in comparison and of course, has FMA characters only, while DON has characters from dragon ball, naruto and one piece. I love DON and play it regularly for hours so i will try its predecessor.

It seems Bradley plays as Zoro on DON, also, the ai isnt simply "brain dead",turns out theres a whole list of commands you can give to your partner so it will act accordingly,so theres that.

The Battle of Yu Yu Hakusho is the best 😎
