Your channel has become my main source of news on Asian acts. I appreciate how you are so open about the sources you use and the limits of the information that is available. You have an analytic brain, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I'm learning a lot watching your videos.

Love your breakdowns. You always do a great job of presenting the information and your sources which I greatly appreciate.

Both Jimins solo albums were massive in the US and South Korea. It's no surprise that he's still steady on the charts 2 years later. Also, BTS seem to be the most steady overall considering their 4 year hiatus being in the way. Swim is already super close to 1B streams just 6 months after release

I've discovered many Asian artists I never would have found on my own through your videos so I thank you for your efforts.

As an American, I wasn’t surprised by Jimin’s performance in the US and in the UK and in other countries, not just for WHO but for all his songs (see charts). He is considered a diamond even if others are touted as most popular globally, results often too based on only one song.

I hope this series will reveal facts vice AR MY or K-pop tropes which have found to not be true many times. If one is objective and not drinking the “Kool Aid”, then  one shouldn’t be surprised at anything AEC has shown or will show — I just hate all the ARMY and other fandom  analyses aimed at explaining what are in truth real data and real results as something else, more as one-offs, just because their fav performed differently than expected in certain countries.

All the members and all the groups should be celebrated not just a few who fandoms have decided must be #1 — thank goodness that the general public and music markets generate the metrics and not only fandoms. If the latter were true, then it’s not music evaluated for merit but by popularity. Ugh.

oh i love this kind of thing, imidiate subscribe

i have listened most of the song on the list, first time listening to joji, V, and kenshi after watching this video and i love them, it's nice to discover something new once in a while, it's refreshing

Blackpink members are surviving by the collabs only

Thanks❤

Very interesting. Thank  you.

I’m primarily Kpop fan. It would be very interesting to do the similar analysis excluding Kpop. Similar to how Billboard has global charts excluding the USA.  Very interested to see influences of SE Asian music.

Thank you for the breakdown. It's really interesting. I watched your video yesterday about the Kpop female solo and groups songs. There were songs on there I never even heard of before and it sent me down a rabbit hole to listen to more songs - no complaints. I look forward to the Kpop male solo and group songs list. I really appreciate learning different and interesting ways to look at music, so thanks again.

Mi jimin obio esta en la lista no me sorprende sus fana no lo soltamos nunca desde que salio muse face 🥰🥰🥰

This is an excellent analysis. These things were surprising to me:

1. KATSEYE appears to be on a trajectory to overtake BlackPink as the most popular Asian-created girl group in the USA. This may explain BlackPink members' intense focus on establishing solo careers in the USA.

2. CORTIS is absent from the list.

3. New Jeans is still a money maker inside the USA. This fact explains the reason ADOR is working so hard to reboot the group with only 4 members. Their group's stardom is tarnished, but it could shine bright again with a well-orchestrated comeback.

4. The USA market seems to be overtaken by BTS, but the group is not making inroads to the extreme level their PR makes it seem. BTS, as soloists, are making the most movement in the USA. This means the individual guys could have impressively top-tier careers ahead of them in the USA even if the full group doesn't remain as active.

5. The fact that this chart is so Kpop-centric supports the GRAMMY's desire to introduce other Asian music genres to the USA market. There's a lot of great Asian-region music that we, in the USA, are not aware of. If this can be accomplished then we, Americans, are going to start hearing and streaming a variety of Asian music. How exciting!

Thank you for these insights!

Do a video on Pakistani music as will, I think Pakistani asian music is very unique to other asian music ❤

I'm a bit surprised TWICE is so low. However I guess it could be explained that even with their huge catalog over the years, they only pushed into the US in recently. So their back catalog of huge hits just never hit the Spotify top daily in the US.

not biased at all btw

Katseye are actually not all Asians by ethnicity. Lara is Indian and Daniella is Latina. If we are including Manon, she is swiss-Italian and Ghanaian….

hyunjin collaboration was with a murderer

Why don’t you do most streamed for the year 2026. Also who was top 20 for every month of the year so far.

What I don’t understand is why NewJeans are being considered for anything. The original NewJeans do not exist. The new NewJeans did not present anything yet….   What am I missing 😮
