If you like this video and want to see my picks for plot twists that actually SAVED the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2QRshnVZGA

Videos like this need chapters.

Worst plot twist in a tv show by a country mile was Deb wanting to do her own brother the entire time in Dexter.

Worst plot twist was The Strangers Chapter 3. Pretending it was a real movie the entire time.

Rey being Palpatine's grandchild ruined a lot more than just that movie in the saga.

I feel like M Nights worst twist was in Glass. It was at like the last 5 minutes that the secret society is revealed, and Elijah's true plan was revealed. Then the movie ends. It ruined the whole thing for me.

I think the plot twist for The Woman in the Yard is even bleaker because if the kids are with her in the reverse world at the end I assume that implies she killed the kids before herself.

Roger Ebert said in his review of High Tension “A movie with a plot hole so big that you can drive a truck through it.”

I also hated the plot twist of Lightyear because it was a complete rip-off of Lego Movie 2.

16:31 I saw some people describe Lightyear in a way that makes too much sense

It's not the movie that make Andy want Buzz Lightyear. It's the live action remake they made 25 years later that fundamentally doesn't understand what people liked about the original

16:30 I honestly don't understand why they didn't borrow elements of the cartoon Lightyear show, which really did capture the idea of being the show the toy was based off from. Plus, the cast doesn't just contain humans. Would've been cool to see Buzz team up with extraterrestrials on a big adventure

I guess scream reveals are basically plot twists, so if Scream 7's ghost face reveal counts as a plot twist that was pretty awful.

Hancock’s tonal shift has always pissed me off. Such a good first 45 minutes.

You should add chapters to make it easier for those who want to skip a specific entry

Signs better than The Village, seriously? Aliens allergic to water coming to Earth IS the worst plot twist...

I went to see The Village on opening night in the theaters. When the movie started, they accidentally put on the reel where William Hurt was explaining to his daughter the entire twist of the movie. The whole scene played out before they realized something was wrong. It made watching the movie from the beginning pretty pointless.

Fun list connection: the kid Hancock throws into the sky for calling him an asshole played young Michael Meyers in Rob Zombie's Halloween.

The thing I hated about Jigsaw's plot twist is that it was supposed to be a soft reboot, and they set up the PERFECT replacement for Jigsaw so they wouldn't have to keep digging into the past for more Tobin Bell scenes. Callum Keith Rennie has years of experience playing a menacing, creepy antagonist. I would absolutely 100% buy him as the new Jigsaw, and they could've gotten another decade or two of movies out of him. They even set up his detective character for a reveal at the end. But instead of the guy with actual villain charisma, the apprentice was just... some guy with zero screen presence who we never heard from again, and they killed Rennie's character with LASERS. Why would you waste a talent like that?

I actually didn't realize that Khan was trying to be a plot twist.

“He NEVER recovered from this one, with a few exceptions”. Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this sentence?
