Harry & Lauren react to The Sandlot for the very first time, a completely blind reaction to David Mickey Evans' 1993 coming of age classic. Chosen by our Patreon member C. Pure joy, pure heart, pure nostalgia, The Sandlot is one of those films that wraps around you like a warm blanket from the very first scene. The summer adventures, the friendships, the Beast, we loved absolutely every second of it. Was this a childhood staple for you? Let us know below! 👇

Wee hat??? The visor/bill was 1/2 meter long!!! That's what was wrong with it. LOL
They explanation here is that Scotty basically grew up without a dad.
At that age, I bicycled anywhere I wanted to go, and my route took me past neighboring properties with "monster dogs".
I was never coordinated enough for most sports, but I remember playing baseball on the playground during recess. This was at a time when aluminum bats were just appearing and we played using a tennis ball, so even a bunt could get some distance. We had infield players, outfield players and "get out" field players who mostly just chased down the ball since there was no back fence.
Since you love this, I think you guys would love "The Mighty Ducks." Feel good kids sports movies, same era.
