By the end, at least Knives was no longer "too young for him" in the legal sense. She had her birthday.

This is one of those movies that even if they tell you what it's about, you'll still never be ready for it. Plus, Edgar wright is the transition master.

In 2020, most of the cast (minus Brie Larson & Keiran Culkin), reunited for a Zoom Table Read, to celebrate the movie's 10-year anniversary.
The video is on Entertainment Weekly's Youtube Channel.

And in 2023, the whole cast came back to voice their characters for the Netflix animated miniseries; "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off"

The algorithm is so ready to let me know when new reactions for this movie are out 😤🤣

Love the reaction. It is explained more in the comics and tv show but simply in this world people have powers it's why no one is shocked. Also Ramona's power is to speed travel/teleport by opening doors in and traveling through dreams. It's why she's seen traveling through Scott's dreams and why she's an amazing Amazon worker, because she instantly teleports to where she needs to drop off the package again by traveling through dreams

The evil exes are a great metaphor for the baggage we carry with us from past relationships.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Watching you watch it was a great time. Great video. I dont know how youtube knew but im glad it did lol

"Can we get something with the coins? Can we trade it for something?"

*Homer Simpson voice - "Money can be exchanged for goods and services..." 😉

The joke of his enemies exploding into coins is that Scott's world runs on video game logic, where enemies drop coins when defeated.

It's "better" that Knives turns 18 during the movie, but also Scott is worse because he broke up with Knives as she was inviting him to her birthday party

The Human Torch is my fav ex. It'd be cool if all the exes had to fight, melee style.

Ramona is literally using a sub-space highway running through his head. It is all real.😊

Ehehehehehehehe family friendly.
Honestly though, this was such a joy in 2010 when it was on the big screen. Edgar Wright took us straight into loony land, and as a former Torontonian I had extra fun spotting all the downtown landmarks.
Michael Cera said he based his performance of Scott on Homer Simpson. Now you can't unsee it. You're welcome.

Wallace is a gossipy B. And the best character.

The recent animated series is actually a lot of fun, and more in tune with modern views. All of the main cast are back, except the narrator.
There are a lot of fun Toronto references. Casa Loma is a cool place. At least one of the clubs mentioned was real. Pizza Pizza is a major Canadian chain (though not good pizza, IMO). The change from Gideon includes Loonies and Toonies ($1 and $2 coins).
5 of the actors in this movie have played 7 Marvel/DC characters (at least, I may have missed some).

I've seen the film by myself and on reacts. I never thought of how nasty a garlic breath makeout session would be.

I think that's how Michael actually runs. It's the same form in Superbad and Juno.

Masterpiece

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was great in this movie and a year later was in another one of my favorite movies The Thing (2011)...prequel to The Thing (1982) that should be watched first.

What's funny is the guy who wrote the book this is based on, he met a celebrity he was a fan of when he was younger, and when he told him "I'm a big fan" their response was "Why wouldn't you be?"
