I cannot believe the conditions that dear soul was living in. You saved him Ben. Never doubt it.

My wife past away a month and a half ago and, because of the terrible experience I had with the doctors that were supposed to help her, I lost faith in humanity in general. Seeing you all going out of your way to help and be kind to people in need is giving me comfort and hope again. Thank you so much.

Retired medical professional here. I hope that when subscribers watch this they either 1) know to tell their doctors/nurses/ therapists what type of environment they are living in so they can be treated accordingly for their ailments and 2) that medical professionals start asking questions about the environment a patient is living in when they come in with ailments. This gentleman needed services and somehow fell through the cracks. Thank you Ben and team for being there to give this gentleman a safer environment to live in. When I moved back home to help my dad, I encountered the same issues, so I can understand what you and Rick are going through. Bless you all🙏

The importance of this channel is immense. It is not just about cleaning up a piece of land or a garden; it is also about rebuilding someone's life—someone out there who has been abandoned, and who doesn't even realize they need this. Congratulations to all of you.

Rick is extremely brave to not only accept help AND be willing to make HUGE changes in his life, but to have the entire process recorded and shared on the internet!!! He has shown more courage than many men possesse.
And Ben, you are just a magnet for hard work and fun. Everyone on your team is exceptional.

Words can't express enough how awesome you & your team are.

So pleased to hear Ben that you have factored in a cleaner/ carer for Ricks ongoing support. Rick is going to need this assistance for the rest of his days not just the next 12 months. You are all so wonderful. The care and empathy shown by all your family and friends who help you is beyond words. 😊❤

I think Rick initially had a problem letting go because it overwhelmed him, seeing all of it together on the lawn. He couldn’t fathom going through it all and just figured, let's keep it to be sure.

In essence, he is not a hoarder. He's letting go of so much more than I expected him to. All of the furniture alone! I hope he'll feel a thousand times lighter once it's all done.

To help him keep up, maybe get a social worker involved to organize a regular cleaning service so he won't get sick again. Also, might be useful for him to get in touch with some type of network for lonely people. Who knows, he might make a few new friends to invite over to his newly renovated place! ❤

As a Pest Control Technician living in Ireland. I could smell the majority of this video.
What you have done for Rick is amazing.
You and the team have undoubtedly added a few years onto this mans life.
You should all be extremely proud.

30 days in a hotel, plus gutting and rebuilding his house from the inside out? Ben you are taking generosity to a new level, and showing the rest of the world how it's done. God bless you and your calling.

What happened to the legislation in 70s that every over 75yrs must have annual visit from Community Nurse/Health Visitor, - test urine, B/P, assess cognitive state, view living conditions.
As with everything in Public Services, population and Govts prefer to turn a blind eye than finance and build as factors demanded.
