This story follows a woman embarking on an ambitious solo rebuild. After buying a $50,000 ruined house in Southern China, she is left with just $10,000 to restore it entirely on her own. She relies on self-taught skills, relentless upcycling, and sheer physical effort to tackle every room of this 3,000-square-foot property from scratch.
Will her extremely tight budget be enough to turn an uninhabitable wreck into her dream home?
Watch the 1-year journey to see if one person's determination is enough to accomplish the impossible.

I’m so happy that you enjoyed my project, and I also want to say a huge thank you to the Quantum team for telling my story and presenting it in such a beautiful way.
Just like many of you, I watched the entire film myself. Seeing it all put together brought back so many memories. This was a very difficult chapter of my life, and what you see in the video is only part of what I actually went through.
Behind the scenes, many of the steps were much harder than they may look. Some things failed more than once, and I had to rebuild and start over before I finally got them right.
The biggest obstacle throughout the renovation was something very simple: I didn’t have enough money.
Because of that, I had to constantly think of creative ways to solve problems, including using discarded and recycled materials to create parts of the design. So when you see some of those things in the video, they weren’t done simply for the style — they were often the result of having very limited resources.
But I kept going.
I truly believe that no matter how difficult things are, if we keep moving forward, things can eventually get better.
The Quantum team did an amazing job turning this journey into a film, and I hope you enjoyed watching it as much as I did.
