Funny, at the time all the old fans, or Cornette types, shitting on the invisible hand grenades and PWG dick nonsense, we were ostracized by the online internet wrestling community. More than ever, that showed how meaningless the IWC was (and is).

The companies that kept booking him in intergender matches where women had to "take his move" in front of bunch of kids in the crowd should have been held to the fire a lot more.

Most of the credit for PWG’s success should probably go to Excalibur and Super Dragon, they were the ones actually running things for most of its existence.

This is why I respect Lex Luger. He turned to religion and then took his new beliefs into the world to say “Don’t be like me.” If anything Lex has become more open about how bad he was, rather than try to use his religion to sweep his past under the rug. It’s okay to say you’ve changed and to be proud of that, but you also still have to be honest. Lex at least is honest

Every time I remember this slime ball, I will never not mention to my friend who thought I "had no sense of humour" because I said that the dude's gimmick was not only cringy, but creepy as hell and that I would not be surprised if that's just a small piece of his personality. I was right and it just keeps getting worse.

As a committed Christian myself, I find it very offensive when people use faith to try to excuse themselves. It doesn't sound like he's really repented, given the other comments he makes: no humility and little remorse.

It should be common sense not to book a wrestler that gave himself a disgusting gimmick. Nobody gives themselves a gimmick like that just for innocent reasons.

I was never big on over the top comedy gimmicks. Santino is probably the most i could take in that regards. He at least wrestled normally.

It’s quite ironic because Joey Ryan was booked in TNA as the leader of the Council Culture stable being TNA‘s answer to a new RTC which I found quite compelling & felt it had legs before the angle got killed because of Joey Ryan being awful & I bet at the time Jim Cornette had a field day and felt vindicated in all his years criticising Joey Ryan

Yep during COVID, folks sat down, analyzed their lives and, for a majority, didn't learn shite. Back to their ways today. Albeit now with a smart(er than themselves) phone and access to Gemini and ChatGPT.

Personally I don't buy AEW offered Joey Ryan a contract especially since the EVPs essentially told Marty Scrull to kick rocks once his allegations came to light, which I think was before the huge Joey Ryan callouts and receipts.
