Judge William Sullivan has issued a new order in the Lindsay Clancy case describing the danger to the jurors as "real and present," citing jurors being identified, personal information published without permission, someone allegedly secretly recording jurors as they left court, and threats made against at least one juror - the confidential juror questionnaires are now impounded and the jurors' identities sealed. A jury researcher, a law professor and legal analyst Nima Rahmani break down what the order can and cannot do, why a discharged jury cannot be gagged, why a holdout arguing to convict is genuinely unusual when holdouts almost always push for acquittal, and what the interviews suggest about a deliberation loud enough that the alternates could hear it through the wall.
