Cool fact about N: He actually parallels this challenge very well because all of his pokemon come from the area you are in at the maximum possible level you could catch them at. He releases his pokemon each time he battles you because he wants to leave them in their natural habitats. Very cool detail that gets overlooked often because it's sort of hard to pick up on. It's nice that they kept him and his battles so faithful to his character.

4:00 "How are you going to tackle the Elite Four? Here's the thing, I won't tackle the Elite Four; I'll have stronger moves by then."

Galaxy brain humor.

“If you punch yourself and it hurts are you weak or strong, the answer is you’re dumb” i absolutely love this

Has three legendaries, sweeps the elite four with an ant he found outside

Game Freak: "Let's make the game give the player 0 Exp for battles if it's a pirated copy. That'll make it pretty unplayable, so they'll have to get a real one."
Speedrunners: That sounds like a challenge run! Beats the game anyway
Game Freak: Surprised Pikachu face

So this is how everyone but the main character in pokemon games feel.

“Here’s the thing. I won’t tackle the elite four, I’ll have stronger moves by then.”

It took me way too long to process this joke.

times when saying 6 or 7 isnt a meme

"wow champion how did you manage to beat the greatest trainers of our time as well as a secret superpower working behind the scenes?" "idk man I just brought some ant i found outside"

This run taught me that you don’t need training to become the champion, you just have to be rich

Alternate title, “Man drugs an ant to make it stronger then every other animal in the world”

1:14 like a sleeper agent

its funny how this was the anti-piracy measure for this game.

only in pokemon is it plausible to say; "should I lick my opponent, or incinerate them..?"

I feel like Ant underestimated the raw power that Durant holds when he challenged the Elite 4 at the end of the video. For instance, Durant didn’t need anywhere near +6 atk to sweep the psychic elite 4 member - honestly, it probably would’ve one-shot everything as it is. That’s because, even though Durant was 6-8 levels under the opponents, Durant was firing off STAB-boosted Hustle-boosted X-Scissors off of its really solid 109 base attack stat, a combination that hits low defense Bug-weak Pokémon super hard; not to mention, everything was slower than Durant’s brisk 109 speed stat as well. It really only needed an accuracy boost to ensure hitting the target, and maybe an attack boost, just to be safe. This made more sense than setting up extensively on these powerful special threats, which totally ravaged Durant’s 58/112/48 defensive spread by hitting Durant’s pitiful special bulk where it hurt. Due to Durant being underestimated, many items were wasted for nothing. At least Ant stumbled upon and praised a portion Durant’s pure power at the end of the video. More importantly than all of this, though, is why the fuck I’m analyzing the interaction between a fictional metal ant’s stats and psychic embryo, comprising of a single 30 second portion in a challenge run of a game about capturing animals and making them fight. Holy shit

1:16 I flinched like an abused victorian orphan

Ant walks in with a Durant and a ton of X items

Elite Four: Why do i hear boss music?

Maybe Getsis didn’t actually know the battle had started. He was expecting to face one of the legendarys, but our boy was sitting there roiding out an ant

Fun fact: pokemon black has an anti piracy protection that does exactly this.
You wont get exp. From any battles.
So, you're basically just... Playing a plain unpatched rom LOL
