i can’t believe I actually found a way to pull this off...
I built a giant Nether portal that actually works in vanilla Minecraft Hardcore. Normally, Minecraft’s Nether portal size limit means massive custom portals either don’t work, rely on multiple connected portals, or require mods/datapacks. But by using old Minecraft versions, glitches, and bugs, I found a way to create one massive seamless working Nether portal entirely in survival mode.

Basically, Chunker is an external world conversion tool that was funded/supported by Mojang and can be used to downgrade modern worlds to older versions. It does modify world files, but in a similar way to how the base game modifies them when upgrading a world to a newer format. It isn’t a mod in the sense that you don’t drop it into your mods folder though.
I actually do use mods, but they’re all client-side only (like flashback mod which I use for cinematic shots) meaning they don’t change the base game itself, which is why I still consider my world vanilla. But all of the methods shown in this video are completely possible without mods or Chunker. I mainly use Chunker because I like keeping everything in the same world, and directly downgrading a modern world almost always causes corruption, deleted chunks/items, or sometimes just doesn't work at all.
Sorry I didn’t explain this better in the video, I’ll make sure to be clearer about stuff like this in the future. Thank you all so much for the support on this video! It seriously means the world to me (:
