I had the misfortune of coming into stream during the react, it was hilarious

Some would call Chainsmoker Cat  an anime PSA about addiction and the beginning clips in this video were highlights of the opening theme for the series.... which the opening video for it is a BUNCH of random movie references..
..

an example of one is that insane moment she had sitting on the toilet....THAT was actually a reference to the Movie Dumb and Dumber where one character made the other eat laxatives and was stting on the toliet with that exaggerated look on her face.....and you're a genius

And now the season is over. I love this anime. It reminded me of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid that doesn't have a storyline and it's just random bs. Funny, sad (with the subtle low-key discrimination of cat beast folks and backstory of certain characters) and just bonkers lengths this anime goes through. It's just so awesome. Also there's a video of the cast singing the opening and it's just beautiful. I hope we get a Season 2.

22:35 Hame actually have a silver YouTube button (they didn't drawn it in anime, but in the mang it's right behind her on stream). Her subscribers count is about 130K, IIRC.

Funnily enough, chainsmoker cat is an isekai but follows a later generation of the originals

The vending machine anime is fun

23:50 Even if I say it's definitely the anime of the season and a strong contender for anime of the year? Yes, it's purposely dirty, and CJ didn't even tell the half of it's dirtiness... But in the same time, it's a masterpiece. Underneath a gross raunchy comedy, there is a tragedy of the vicious cycle of discrimination, poverty and self-destructive way of life. People who watched it, are already lamenting the fact that anime has ended and there is no more weekly dose of pitifully relatable, but funny catgirls anymore. Ironically (and unironically), that anime itself is turned to be a highly addictive substance.

I hate cigarettes too Mysti 💜

Thank you so much for introducing me to a new song "fight your barber" is a certified hood classic

0:54 - We didn’t draw the line for “too far” at the magical girl wand or hot spring?

normally I dont comment but 5:55 you're a fluffing genius!

I'm not going to lie. This anime is peak. It's sad, funny, and weirdly wholesome. If you can get past some of the gross-out stuff, it's a good time .

Have you watched the protagonist wearing underpants "Shimoneta"

Aru is small and when she almost got hit by a truck Yani's sister found her and thought she was in Elementary School.
That had to do more damage. Anyone every have to prove their age because they are small?

This anime...👀👀👀👀

The vending machine anime is mostly just another isekai. It's slightly better than the rest of the horde, but it's really not worth your time. It's just the same generic show in yet another slightly updated skinsuit, with maybe a little more flavor than average.

Yanineko was intentionally made disgusting because this anime takes on the theme of how addiction can truly ruin your life.

23:01  not CJ saying uwu 😂

So Mysti has found CJ, this was not on my list of events but i welcome it

I hate cigarettes. Pretty much my whole family are or were smokers.

Fortunately, most of them have given up the habit (even if far too late). Unfortunately, my brother has decided he'd rather keep smoking despite his habit having caused his lungs to collapse multiple times this year.

His addiction is so bad you can't even get through a ten minute conversation with him before he needs to take a smoke break. He's basically Yani Neko but a human guy. It's why I'm thinking of introducing him to this anime.
