I wish more guitar manufacturer would do innovative shit like this instead of a 100th reissue of a 1959 guitar. I have a Revelationm guitar with an ATN-5 and I love how versatile it makes the guitar.

Right on!  I’m a player.  But I enjoy doing mods.  A lot.  It’s an entirely different hobby than playing guitar—it just conveniently utilizes things I already own and use in my hobby as a player.

This is perfect timing! I just discovered that the kind of pot I need for an idea I had doesn't exist in the value I need. Your mod doesn't solve that, but it's a video about opening up and modifying pots, which is exactly what I need.

Brilliant, turning a pot into a double throw switch with built in variable resistors. Lots of ways to use this mod, thanks.

Man this is genius!!! It would be great to have that no load circuit in the centre of a notched pot so you can feel it quickly and easily. So cool, definitely trying this

Until retiring, I spent 43 years working in electronics repair, and software. I love playing guitar, but I also love tinkering with, and modifying mine, to get exactly what I want. Very few of mine are “stock.” I’ve been soldering and reading wiring diagrams since I was a teenager, so doing it myself is not an issue. Thanks for even more cool ideas 👍 And no load tone pots are great!

You can give me millions for this idea later but you could solder the piezo to the back of the pot to make it a simple bolt in product

Dude ur good enough a player i just spent like 30 hours over 2 weeks modding my ADA it’s like MOD374 now 😭this is the shit we live for brother 🤘🏻

Couldn't you put a standard tone on one side and a "cocked wah" on the other side...
I'm off to the workshop to modify the circuit diagram for my current build.
Thanks for this!

Those blender knob mods are apparently HOW Peter Frampton got his signature 70's sound out of his 3 pickup Les Paul, it might have been in the Guitar when he got it from his Very Generous Fan, back at the End of His Humble Pie days, ironically he got that Guitar just in time for the LIVE at FILLMORE concert, Album.

I like the thinking about what a pot really physically is and the possibilities. Very easy to only see things as 'a thing to do the thing they always do'
so handy to get a wee nudge in the head now and again

You aree'nt a tinkerer, you are a sonic sculptor..sculpting "Sound" like a Michel-Angelo for tone! Keeps you out of Mischief too❤

Awesome! Now I know there is NO excuse for only bass players getting to have a dashboard full of dials...kind of...maybe? Hmm.

by far the only guy that actually makes stuff that work, are original  and actually change the tone in not only a noticeably way but in a MASSIVE way

I'm glad I asked the twidgets onboard the tin can I sailed on a lot of questions about electronics, and my highschool shop teacher was a ham radio operator. Your videos are great. Keep up the good work young man!!!!

These are great options for a jazzmaster. Where you have 2 separate volume and tone circuit.
Midcut and focus on the lead and overdrive on the rhythm circuit.
😊
I think I will do that to one of my squier jazzmasters.

You're explanation of the way a pot works was so simple, yet incredibly effective. I've had so many lightbulb moments since I've starting watching your videos. Thanks for all you do.

this is one of the coolest things i've ever seen

I know exactly what you mean about the appeal of mods. I love playing and learning new ways to use chords and melody but tinkering is also a huge part of the hobby for me. Building, setting up, tinkering with amps, playing with signal paths, using effects, playing around with modelling amps tube amps and solid state and definitely these cheap, novel mods you can do under the pick guard. It all gives me the same excitement I would get from dropping 400 bucks on a new pedal or something. There's so many dimensions to electric guitar and i love it so much. Loved watching this video. Everything to the point and no detail spared. Thank you 😊
