I have a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster (CGS from 2012). Thanks✨👌🏼

I was that snob.  I turned my nose up at Squire and only bought US, or MIMs.  I even bought a custom shop Tele exactly like my MIM Tele and after a couple weeks I decided I like the MIM better.  Then I bought an amp and he had a Squire for sale too.  I wasnt even going to look at it.  He puts in my hands and it feels amazing.  I plug it in and it sounds awesome.  Blew me away....its a Chinese  04 Squire Stratocaster Standard Deluxe, alder body, Quilt maple top, rosewood slab fretboard, alnico slug vintage pups, quality pots, switch, bone nut, great fretwork, in mint condition with Fender gig bag for 200.  I replaced zinc saddles with brass and Fender tuners and its just as good as any Fender ever played.

I saw the same guitar in metal flake red for 150.  China is making some very nice instruments now.  Look for the gold logo Squires.

I Sand and oil burnish the necks on all my guitars, Im necer considering resale.

I purchased an 99 Affinity made in China from a pawn shop that was in rough shape because I wanted to learn to work on guitars. I watched many How To type videos and after busting some strings learning I finished fixing it up in about three weeks. I know the guitar is not worth much but I will not sell it for sentimental reasons because learned so much. I put inexpensive MusicLilly pickups and the guitar sounds and plays really good thanks for sharing your knowledge

Hello! My name is Mihai from Romania and I have a Squire Aniversary 50 alder body made in 1996 and I love this guitar! The serial number is YN 612785 made in China!

I have a 1984 Squier Strat, B&W with maple neck. It is as good as any Strat I've ever played. It feels great, stays in tune and sounds fantastic. I had a friend who reworked the tone knobs to give the bridge pickup tone choice, put on a bone nut. I then had a friend who made high end furniture strip the gloss laquer off the neck, making it so much better. Over the years the laquer has re-emerged a little, but isn't sticky. Squiers are great guitars, I have 3 Squier Teles with different pickup arrangements, and my pride and joy, a Torino Red EC signature Strat. They are all wonderful guitars, Squier or Fender!

All my Fender guitars are consistantly very good, out of 8 of my Squier guitars 2 are very good. So with Fender you are also paying for consistancy. The Fender Player ll is the best value, but the Classic Vibe is a close second. And yes I am a guitar snob, most of my gigs I will not play one of my Squiers, unless it is at a senior club where no one will even notice.

I am a Fender man I have been scents the early 60 s . I have play the all  I have built them from the old parts now playing a 70s from parts.  I would Buy a Squier classic in a heart beat

This is written by AI, the story they tell about a "tech at Milehouse studios" moved and put his whole collection in storage and when he got them out later the neck that moved the most was the squier, that is not the true story, we all know Milehouse studios has no techs, its just Paul, Paul was on Andertons TV and it was the Capt. that put his guitars in storage and claimed that the squire had a neck that moved the most. These videos are low ball trash and just looking to make a quick buck. The world is going to loose its history because we are letting AI archive whatever it wants now.

I have JV squier strat and Classic Vibe squier strat in aztec gold❤

Fender, never again.

JV is for "joint venture", not Japanese vintage.

329.99 for the Affinity Strat and Telecaster.

The brutal truth is that Fender is still better than Squier. 🎉

My Smiger LG2 Pro a guitar made in China and costs under 200$, has better specs and playability out of the box compared to my Fender. It has stainless steel frets that are rounded and aren't sharp, roasted maple neck and alnico pickups.

I don't care about the Squires or MIM or Indonesia or wherever - I will only buy the American Fenders - it's not patriotism, I'm from the UK - to me the American guitars are the 'coolest'.

I own a couple dozen Squiers and NONE of them have a bone nut out of the box. They are indeed SUPERB guitars through 2018 when they were made in China. The guitars made in Indonesia since pale by comparison.

Squiers are good guitars. But when i tried Fender Standards on my local shop, i was blown away with a neck profile, good fretwork, sound, they were not feeling cheap, despite we can see that body is made from 2-3 pieces of wood (on a half transparent versions). On most expensive Squiers all metal parts are feeling cheap. As for the wood and sound - they are good. But... any US Fender is still the best value, most resonating while playing, very loud, perfect look, expensive electronics and metal parts etc. Better to spend more once, than to switch between MiM plus Squier or Japanese versions.

My 1980s thin D tele neck bullet squier neck out performs any fender I've had so far in my hands
But I blame Fuji gen

my main guitar was a peavey t 60 and it was better made and sounded better than any guitar fender ever made, as all the fender guitars sound much the same apart from telecasters and they all sound much the same as well. the best sounding guitar that i played was a johnny hiland prs. the worst was a ferya strat copy.
