I actually tried this challenge after watching part 1 (on cartridge no speedups, rip) cus I had no idea there even was a hard mode.

I think I way over prepared for the this challenge and breezed through it because of how over level I was. I only stopped grinding after the Miracle Fassad fight, and actually ran from every encounter because I had PK Ground on Kuma at that point and by then the game is easy anyway. So the N.K Cyborg and Porkey fight weren't an issue at all

Dunno if it's a testament to how lucky I am or how much I grinded but before the Masked Man fight at Ionia's house I had 3 Mystical Sticks (although at a 3% drop rate its not too rare of an item)

also interesting fact at 34:21, it's actually impossible to beat the King Statue without the New Year's Eve Bomb or PK Flash. The game has it's own internal calculator and after about 10,000,000 damage, the game will crash. Even without this calculator there's a 255 turn limit on the game which will boot you out of the game before turn 256 because the game can't handle anymore data in a single byte

Damn I was level 60+ in my normal mode playthrough by chapter eight get good bro Lucas was dealing 30+ damage to the statue and I was level 77 by the end of the game get good🥶👎
