The Exorcist: Let's put the demon's face on the cabinet in the dark for a single frame so audiences don't even know if they actually saw it.

Dominion: Let's photoshop the demon's face over the dude's head like a bad Youtube thumbnail.

dominion looks like it was tryna visually stay in line with its predecessor which i can admire

The exorcist 3 is awesome despite obvious studio interference.

I kinda wish Blatty had written a Merrin prequel

I agree that there should've been a meeting of the minds on both sides. I wish there was a version of this movie that had the character work of Dominion, alongside the horrific tone of Exorcist: The Beginning.
I'd also, want Father Merrin's backstory with the Nazis spoon fed than as the prolog.

I hated this one. They turned Pazuzu into a p**sy. He walks around all and seductively and his worst insult to Merrin is “you are a weak vessel”.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Fun fact: the band dog fashion disco did the theme song and most of the music for this movie as a personal favor to the director.

I loved the cinematography of this movie

It would be interesting if someone took both films and edited them together to see if there was a good film hiding in both films.

The only real problem would be the film would then be changing filming and lighting style every few minutes, and neither film really has a good approach to the possesed person.

I’ve been really enjoying your videos. I love horror and I love how you go into them.

So glad to have discovered your channel recently! The breakdowns are great. And I absolutely agree with you on this one. I have long thought that a combination of the two versions would’ve made for a pretty solid film.

Keep up the great work, sir!

This is the sixth,or even 8th movie reviews that I've watched from you,in just this day! I hope i don't stay awake late into the night, and stay and watch more. I need my sleep! 😂 throughly enjoy your reviews, and always love another horror lover! Horror has been apart of my whole life. I remember watching the night on elm street when i was 6yrs old, alone at night, on tv, sneakily going to the living room, staying quiet,or trying to and scared me so much, but i loved it! And Johnny Depp became my favorite actor even then! What traumatized me, was It, the original.  I read the book at 8yrs old, watched the movie at 9yrs old,and now i have a phobia of clowns! 😂 well, Anyway, oh i sleep better at night, listening to creepypastas! I need horror in my life! I hate romantic movies to the core .. and women usually love them, but not me..😂 my childhood was a total horror, and maybe that's why i love it!!!

Younger Merrin in these 2 films is like if Indiana Jones became a priest.

This is from that era when Paul Schrader (Director of this movie and writer of Taxi Driver) seemed to be struggling to get decent projects made, basically anything made between Auto Focus & First Reformed.

I enjoyed isolated moments from each of the prequel films. I wish they'd been able to keep Gabriel Mann in both films, as it would be nice to compose a fan edit encompassing the best elements of both projects.

By the way, I ADORE your channel. You have a new subscriber.

Just came across your channel, enjoying it a lot. I really liked Dominion, far better than expected.

This was made by an Director from my country Renny Harlin, if i remember right..

This movie is very GOOD. I wouldn't say it's great by any means, but it's definitely more in style, tone and pacing of the previous Blatty entries.

When you watch it back to back with "The Beginning", it feels like a masterpiece though

I dont know if im going insane, but i think that netflix in germany might have mixed up the prequels. I watched the movie titled dominion tonight and im pretty Sure its actually the beginning. Didnt make it easier to Figure out the whole production history

Who's Michael and where does he go on laundry day?
