What actually happens when someone becomes a Cenobite?
The Cenobites are some of horror’s most unforgettable creations, but beneath the pins, chains, and terrifying transformations is a question that makes the mythology of Hellraiser even more disturbing: what happens to the person they used to be?
In this Hellraiser Investigation, we’re going deep into Cenobite transformation, Elliott Spencer, Pinhead, Leviathan and the mythology of the Labyrinth to examine what becoming a Cenobite might really mean.
Because perhaps becoming a Cenobite isn’t simply about turning into a monster.
Perhaps the truth is much worse.

Thank you for these uploads man.
Leviathan is essentially a cosmic horror entity, like something out of Lovecraft. It is so inconceivable, and its gift of sensation so beyond what we can perceive, that it may as well be a god burning ants, believing it to be giving them a suntan.
Elliot Spencer was a general of war therefore he was the perfect candidate to be the leader for the order of the gash.
The leviathan took those parts of him and used those parts to build the entity that becomes pinhead
The cold calculating.
The leadership.
The want for victory.
Elliot’s desires aside his shell was a perfect mold for leviathan.
In the sequel, it's an instant one and done thing. It's a metamorphosis that happens in a convenient moment.
I always got the impression that going from someone like Frank to something like Pinhead or the chatterer was a slow process. The various mutilations being willingly self inflicted as part of that nightmarish seeking of extreme sensation.
That idea just feels more potent and on theme to me compared to the magical and sometimes ironic transformation it would become as the series went on.
