Maybe next they’ll make a Jimmy Saville movie focusing on all the fundraising and television presenting.

Next: Henry VIII, stopping at 1526 and focusing on how a young monarch overcame his heartache at not having a son while standing by his beloved Spanish wife

Part 2 will surely show us him working on the soundtrack to Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Another critic said it's like if they made an OJ Simpson movie and ended it with the production of Naked Gun 33 1/3.

Michael-12a, what an opening 😂

Who plays Jarvis Cocker?

Yeah cannot wait until the Cosby biopic where it shows his rise to fame in stand up to conquering television and ends on the series finale of The Cosby Show.

Its like a history of WW2 where German train punctuality is the main and only theme.

Just saw a comment from Alison Wilmore in Vulture saying "It's like being frog-marched through a wax museum"

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy !

In the prequel, Robbie Williams put in a fantastic performance as Bubbles.

All I keep thinking about is the wasted potential with this. Had the movie been a recreation of one of his concerts with insights and a narrative of impending doom building whenever he exited for a set change, there could've been a really fascinating juxtaposition to explore. Taking a 3 hour blip of his life to acknowledge both the genius and the weirdness could've worked (and it probably would've been a banger).

You had me at 'moderate threat'...

I've been waiting for this...

Such an in depth look into him. His vitiligo pull up sleeve says he uses cream, nurse says its common moves on. His surgery, says its for sinuses moves on, his burns, has to wear a hair piece and reads peter pan moves on 😂. It was total dross. You really think the estate was really gonna go there in 93? They cant even do merch with him past 88

Both Michael and Amy biopics had far too much family involvement to have given truthful versions of their loved one. Not only will they want to put across the best version of the person they loved, but they both have enormous vested interests in telling a story which puts them across well and also sanitise the worst of them to maintain their ongoing earnings they get from their legacy.

Man, if they are saving the dark stuff for an eventual sequel they wil get Michael Haneke to direct it

Absolutely the same as I felt watching this film. Something was missing and let's be honest, with half his family listed as 'executive producers' they were hardly going to make a movie that dishes the Financial hand that feeds them.

It’s been reported that they intended to include the court case bit, shot it all, but the Jackson estate forgot to mention to the studio that a legal settlement didn’t allow those people depicted in any film. Hence the estate paid for all the reshoots.

I’ll never forget what David Foster Wallace said about the prospect of a Michael Jackson movie, claiming in a 1997 essay about the production of Lost Highway that one of his absolute dream films would be a Crump (1994) style documentary about Michael Jackson directed by David Lynch. Sounds like it could’ve been a good contender for the scariest movie ever made had it actually been done. 😂
