I love how Mark still manages to mention The Exorcist here

I’ll 100% be watching this on my phone with one AirPod

The level of patience from Mark here is brilliant. I'll bet he regretted the words "jump in" hahaha

Kermode went on his own mental odyssey while Doc was talking.

Mark went on his own Odyssey trying to review this film.

Should be titled “Mark Kermode ATTEMPTS to review the Odyssey”

Totally spot on with the Sam Morton scene 'elevating' the film to a whole new level. I've just seen it in a full IMAX and you could almost  feel the whole cinema sit up and say , 'hello , this isn't what I was expecting ! '

"it's a cameo that is beyond..."
Kermode: "It's not a cameo Ben" 💀

Don't forget "Oh brother, where art thou?".. The Coen Brothers masterful stab at The Odyssey

6 mins in and he’s about to review than the other guy is like let’s rewind it for a bit

Don't forget "O Brother Where Art Thou" for a great adaption of The Odyssey

Kermode thinking "Mayo never makes this much sense, he also never talks this much"

I love Mark Kermode's look when Ben starts talking about books and sports.  Books? Blank. Sports? Never heard of her lol!

I was really looking forward to the Mayo & Kermode review. Can we still have one please! 🙏

I'm going to watch this on my GBA, as Nolan intended

I've never shouted 'shut up' whilst watching this channel before but here we are..

The Wager is such a great book, BTW.

It’s all very well for venerable movie pundits like Mark to call for everyone to see this in IMAX…but now I’m finding it very difficult to find any seats at any IMAX remotely near me! We need more of them.

Simon's right on Hubris. Hubris is the heart of every Greek Tragedy. The tragic hero displays hubris and goes against the gods, and gets his arse handed to him. In Homer's Odyssey Odysseus is hubristic because when he shoots the Cyclops, Polyphemus, he shouts "Tell them Odysseus of Ithaca did this!" having previously said he was "Nobody". NOW Poseidon can blame someone. This is where things go tragically wrong for Odysseus' crew.

the time taken for Mark to review this allowed Odyseeus to make it home to ithaca
