The Most Disturbing Things Ever Discovered From Melting Glaciers

As glaciers melt worldwide, they reveal remarkable and disturbing discoveries. From a military transport plane that travelled fourteen miles through moving ice to Ötzi's five-thousand-year-old murder victim, these frozen time capsules preserve everything from medieval penguin chicks to radioactive fallout from nuclear weapons tests and leaking abandoned Antarctic waste sites.

"Medieval Penguins" and I instantly picture penguins in armor. Disappointed when it wasn't.

dude, a government said that they couldn't clean a place in five years, when they've had thirty years ALREADY to clean it up. Pathetic. all of those people deserve to be jailed.

Simon, I’ve been climbing in northern Italy for almost 15 years, and the remnants of the “White War” are still everywhere. Fascinating history and an incredible battlefield. You really should cover it! Love the channel — keep it up!

The Beaver juice is to help the dogs find any stray darts lost in the undergrowth.

If the otzi man was killed immediately I'd expect the killer to have looted him. That axe was an expensive, useful item. If he lasted hours, he'd have a chance to escape/hide before succumbing to his wound.

Every time I watch a Whistler video and he says, “Whoopsie daisy,” means it’s going to be a wonderful day in the neighborhood! 👍👏😀

This episode appears to be more 'normal' than other videos released recently, audio normal, Simon actually laughing, seems more grounded. Which makes me even more SUS on the videos released where things have a dlss 5 style gray fake ai look, audio weirdness and Simons tangents missing, no laughing, no random noise from outside no construction chaos etc. Just my opinion allegedly

I love your videos, I've taken up a habit of playing them as I sleep because I just love to hear historical facts while I fall asleep lol

It's important to note that beaver castoreum is still used today.

Its amazing how us commoners get fined for dropping rubbish or not picking up dog dirt but gov's get to throw away stuff like radioactive trash and old fuel without financal consequence, they don't even have to clean it up until it becomes a real big problem . . and they'll still probably do a bad clean job of it.

When I had a flight physical with the US Air Force, in addition to fingerprints they also wanted footprints.
"If you're in a fiery crash, that's the one part of your body most likely to survive, inside your boots."
Um, thanks guys, I needed that...

Utzi was found in an area where no overnight camping is allowed. AND, he didn't have any form of government-issued ID on him. Just to help clear things up, I'm volunteering to pay his fines for trespassing, so that his Next Of Kin can process their claims without that hanging over them.

I think they were using the beaver oil on the dart to help locate it and whatever ran away carrying it. I bet our smell or our best friends the dog could smell it easily.

This was truly fascinating. Thanks for making it!

The Australian Gov has said that cleaning Wilkes Station can't be done by 2030, the original target date. Reports indicate the complexity, time and costs are significantly greater than estimated. Bloody unacceptable.
