Such a sad story. It started with her tortured makeover, then she was exploited and made a fool of by the staff, the other contestants, freaking 50 cent, on national television. She was eliminated half way through the season, developed a meth addiction, was exploited on Dr. Phil after her family sold her out over it, and died of breast cancer 4 years later. RIP Jael, I hope people never forget the tragedy that was reality television of this era, and keep fighting for those who are pressured by family members to exploit themselves and their loved ones for fame.

Anyone berating someone else for crying is insensitive and cruel

Physical pain is a reason to cry. It is how the body says something is wrong. The other girls lacked empathy and that is scary.

I despise the way she mocked the girls who were understandably devastated by their horrendous makeovers. Tyra is always giving that mean girl who pretends to be nice.

Tyra is a mean girl for real.. but when someone said she looked chubby in a swimsuit she lost it lol 😅

They could've just dyed Brittany to red and keep the length. That weave looked tragic.

Jael passed away after battling a terrible drug addiction and having cancer. She was beautiful. May her soul rest in peace!

Jael saying she feels traumatized, girl called it right there. That's what they were trying to do.

Conspiracy theory:
No one was sufficiently upset about the makeovers, so they did this to Jael.

They tell Renee she photographs hard/old and give her a more masculine haircut and complain she photographs that way. This show was so cruel.

I felt so bad for Jael here. She was such a strong person, I hope she is resting in peace.

Jael deserved so much better. This hurts to watch. RIP Jael ❤

Britney and Jael’s makeovers were train wrecks. Jael because of the initial process. As for Britney’s her weave looked like clown hair and it ended up looking so bad that Tyra called the weaves a dead hamster.

I think they ended up later that season taking Britney’s weave out because she was getting where she was losing hair from it and it was painful

Please please please follow up with the episode where they take Brittany's weave out. It was ripping her hair out and she was bleeding it was a whole mess. Made those girls look stupid for complaining about the crying. Seriously check it out

I really really hope that now, decades later, Whitney and the other girls recognize that tears happen for a lot of reasons, not just major life events...

That first appearance of Tyra complaining about previous models suffering is just so manipulative

Damn Tyra is so wrong for making fun of the models that had every right to be upset about their hair being cut off.

RIP Jael 🥹 what a joyful and kind person she was ❤️

Seems like cruelty is what ANTM is really all about. A lot of bullying going on. I'm over it. Sick of the lack of empathy among the girls.
