Rip 2017-2021 me, you'll be disappointed that the game you're obsessed with is most likely never being completed💔

Just you wait, in 15 years this game will be almost halfway to playable

If you ever think you are a horrible person, remember YandereDev.

I never understood why Pedo Dev claims it’s a stealth game, yet it lacks a mechanic every stealth game has: the ability to take cover by corners and objects and peek around. The crouching and crawling in Yandere Simulator is very impractical and when you consider how nosy the NPCs are it seems more harmful than useful.
The “stealth” in this game isn’t like ‘sneaky’ or ‘cunning’ it’s more like ‘no one is looking’ or ‘leave no witnesses.’ And not in a good way, just a tedious way.

It will never not be crazy to me how i discovered this game in 4th grade and im about to graduate without it being finished 💀

In the time it has taken for Alex to "develop" Yandere sim, I have:
-completed elementary
-completed junior high
-completed vocational school and high school
-gotten a job
How does he do it? What's his secret to procrastinate?

Yandere Dev likes his game how he likes his girls. 11 years and still developing

What's even funnier is that yandev made 1980s mode with fully functioning rivals, complete with mechanics like no infochan, in 3ish months. I understand that the mechanics of the game were already implimented which sped up the development process heavily, but considering it took 3 months just to incorporate rivals, get done with voice acting, include the intro + the conclusion in the courtroom depending on how you play, its really a shame the real thing isnt complete— considering the unwavering support he received. And 80s mode was only released out of pure arrogance and spite, trying to prove people that he can truly work on a game 💀

Im convinced that YandereDev spent only 30 minutes a week on the game and didn't read any emails, because people were emailing him things to improve or add to the game, and he didn't do any of that and only added easter eggs

I still remember when I watched a youtuber (maybe kubz scouts?) explain that midori Gurin's name was literally just... green green. Even fucking preteen me was like 'haha thats weird, i wonder what it will be changed to when the full game releases haha'

7:37 The lots of problems he could've prevented if he just said "They're all 3rd year students, they're 18 years old" instead of "post-high school academy"

I wish YS kept unserious vibe it had in first trailer - no serious lore with references to WW2, no useless worldbuilding, no demons and curses. If YS stayed a meme game, everyone's names or Mary Sue as a final rival would make more sense

If you think about it, the only way to beat the game as of now is to do the genocide ending

14:41 his characters are 100% NOT 18+. the main character needs an ID to buy cigarettes, alcohol etc; meaning she’s under 21. and since she’s like mid level in her school, the people in classes below her HAVE to be under 18.

Yandevs first mistake was to make this game serious. I'm 100% sure that if yandere simulator stayed as a sandbox game it wouldn't be in the mess it's in today.

Finally someones speaking up abt the fact our computers work a full time job trying to run yan sim, it literally made some features on my computer stop working lmao

what’s really strange about the whole “post-secondary school meant to simulate the feeling of high school” is the fact that virtually NO friend of mine in the final grade of high school wanted to be in high school anymore. they were excited to grow up and go to college/university (if that was their decided path—some didn’t go to post-secondary) and experience the completely different vibe it had compared to high school.

even if the Saikou guy’s daughter missed out on her high school years and he wanted to create a college campus similar to high school, i can guarantee you that realistically she would be the only one going there.

it definitely is a way for Alex to project his creepy fantasies in a way that is still "palatable". a normal person, especially a young person, is eager to grow and learn and experience new things, not stay the same. sure, it's normal to think "oh, i wish i were younger and carefree and beautiful" sometimes as an adult but making a weird self-insert high school game where you take panty-shots of the students is fucking creepy man. he needs therapy

He has been developing this for my whole life… I’ve
-finished primary school
-finished high school
-finished A levels
-finished my first 2 years at university…
Update … I graduated, I have a degree now

my roman empire was finding out YS was not, in fact, a satire. and that yanderedev was actually completely serious. the whole time. the game's satire potential is so potent and funny that it rolls back around to being just plain bad

Looking back at this game i was once proud to be a fan of, it really had a lot of potential. But all the potential had to fall down the drain bc of Alex/Yandere Dev..
