It's been 10 years and Yandere Dev STILL is not even close to completing Yandere Simulator. It is beyond embarrassing

The best thing you can say about Yandere Dev is that he managed to create a very fun game: speedrun to be kicked out of his discord server

I was 16 when this game was announced. I graduated high school, had 2 terrible jobs, served in the military, and learned how to program before the game's release.

Edit: Y'all are so supportive. Thank you. Turns out I can't stand sitting at a computer for 10+ hours a day lol. I made a career switch and moved my whole life to a different state, now I'm fixing air conditioners and furnaces for a living. And to y'all who said "thank you for your service", you are very welcome. Love this country. Love my countrymen. 🇺🇸 Um. Subscribe to Savantics? Lol

Kinda funny how when Yandere Dev DID get that professional help, he said “f*ck you! Don’t touch my game!” just because this pro wanted to fix the coding to make the game functionable.

Queen Elizabeth II died before this game released. Let that sink in

Fun fact: Yandev used his patreon money to buy a sex doll. And for some reason everyone seem to forget his older controversy of sexting with a minor. I cant believe he still has fans.

Yanderedev spent most of his time making up excuses instead of developing Yandere Simulator.

i like how he always portrays himself as an anime boy in his explanation videos and then when you see a picture of him streaming he genuinely looks like the coomer meme

"dont want to babysit a secretary for weeks until they can respond to emails for me"
ok but you will spend 10 years responding to emails instead?

It's funny to think that the second rival hasn't even been added to this game after almost ten years, meanwhile FNAF just had a successful theatrical movie.

the real yandere simulator was the disasters we experienced

Another problem which wasn't mentioned was the fact he did eventually get an indie publisher to help out with the game (tinyBuild) but he hated the fact that the helpers had better code than him so he cancelled the deal. That was an actual chance for him to get the game finished and he absolutely blew it because he didn't want to learn actual code.

Remember the meme "We got (insert something) before GTA 6?" This situation would be "We got GTA 6 before Yandere Simulator"

EDIT: This comment aging like fine wine

@hoodmaster5281 2 years ago

I love how Tiny Builds, the developers of Hello Neighbor, tried to fix his broken ass coding, and he got mad at them for doing so. If Hello Neighbor says your game is broken, you gotta start writing that suicide note. You failed as a game developer

YandereDev in 2079: " Alright guys, I just added the second rival to the game! "

The fact I used to support him... I'm ashamed to admit it, but as a teenager I loved Yandere Simulator. Not anymore, but it was my childhood once.

Scott cawthon managed to make 8 games and several spin offs, most of which he made himself. Created an entire brand, and retired. In the time it took for yandere simulator to even leave beta💀

@Silly_Billy1 2 years ago

I have a suspicion that yandere simulator was first developed as a fetish game and didn’t expect it to get so popular

@crimsonmaverick8237 2 years ago

“Indie developer” does not have to mean literally one person makes a game. Especially one this ambitious. Bro needed a team.

Things that have come out since development started on YanSim:

- Undertale and 2 chapters of its sequel Deltarune
- Cuphead and its DLC, which were both animated by hand
- Bendy and the ink machine and its sequel
- Baldi's basics
- Poppy Playtime
- Untitled goose game
- Every Star Wars sequel
- Disney+, HBO max, pretty much every streaming service except for Netflix
- Doki doki literature club
- Stardew Valley
- Inscryption
- Hollow knight
- Matpat's retirement
- Countless shows started and ended in this time
- the entire app of TikTok
- The entire fnaf franchise (like 10 games and a movie)

I remember thinking that the whole “Change panties” and up skirt mechanics were sick jokes that were added as a satirical twist on how underage anime girls were oversexualized in anime. Knowing Yandere Dev now, I no longer think that.
