TRETV GANG! BTS ARMY is demanding an apology from iHeartRadio after comments made by the hosts of The Woody Show sparked another controversy surrounding BTS's appearance at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival!

After BTS performed SWIM, 2.0, MIC Drop, and FYA at the festival in Las Vegas, some fans expressed frustration over the group's short performance, alleged audio problems, and broadcast issues.

But things took another turn when The Woody Show addressed the criticism.

During the September 21 broadcast, host Menace repeatedly referred to BTS ARMY as “losers,” while the hosts also made comments about Jungkook's name that fans criticized as disrespectful and racially insensitive.

Now ARMY members are calling for accountability, with a petition demanding a formal public apology from The Woody Show and iHeartRadio.

In today's reaction, we're breaking down the controversial comments, the backlash from BTS fans, and the growing demands for an apology.

Was this simply radio hosts responding to criticism, or did their comments cross a line?

I want to hear from BTS ARMY in the comments!

I watched the show live because my wife is a fan. The sound was baaaaddd. I was surprised this was a iHeartradio production on prime time TV. I was laughing when it was happening, saying someone is getting fired because the sound mixing was horrendous, a night club DJ would've done a much better job.

Hey…! They filled up your arena and call them losers! you are fools!

@mollychaos6754 10 days ago

They don't know bout us Period!

I don't care about an apology.. I never heard of Woody's Show and I don't expect I will again. But any ARMY who has heard of them probably won't hear about them again either. When people insult you, you tend to go away... and not return.

The “name butchering” for JK was a deliberate racist slander. So obvious. That alone is unacceptable when BTS brought the incredible viewership numbers (as usual) yes, the fans may be sensitive to performance sabotage but that doesn’t excuse the hateful, disrespectful comments for a “talk show” under monetary iHeart contract?

they have since closed their comments section on instagram, deleted these clips from their tiktok and iheart even closed a section on their website where we could contact them. these people dont understand its one thing to clarify some rumours and its another thing to mock a korean name on air and call the same people who filled up your arena "losers" and other awful things. just look up the arena on day 2, half of it was empty. ARMY has gotten statements out of many people and people had lost their jobs in the past for acting like this towards BTS, i guess this guy will find out on his own. they do not deserve BTS and they dont deserve ARMY.

BANGTANTV has now released stagecams, which are amazing.
While I agree with some of the points made, like BTS signed a contract for an agreed timeslot and performed as agreed. Surely, these people must know that the broadcast quality was poor, so they should have acknowledged their own failings, instead of calling everyone losers!
I just feel for BTS who I am sure won't be happy at all about this slur on ARMY.

It’s good and fine to explain the reasons. There’s no need to insult.

Thanks for understanding the whole situation and for the support, ARMY.

I love how they act like we couldn't possibly know how music festivals work 😂 such straw man points 🙄

@jiangxi6700 10 days ago

so glad to hear you say this. I think fans are mad not just because it’s BTS， it’s so unprofessional to say words like this to any body. it‘s your commercial partner so why you say this and don’t know anything about the team. Even in the interview，RM said it took 14 hours only to attend the show. Here didn’t see respect from these guys. Basically these guys thought they had the radio power 😊

The 4 songs were fine, but the voice quality and camera angles were bad. BTS need to bring their own people because US producers do not know how to work with a group that dances and use live vocals.When he intentionally said his named incorrectly and made fun of him, it is racist. We need to call out racism when we see it and not laugh or sweep it under rug.

I wouldn’t give the woody show the attention it’s looking for, the clicks the views, etc.. I’ve never heard of that show and we should all keep it that way. Haters will always hate.

@user-wy7yx9ny5 10 days ago

These people should be ashamed, rudeness is unnecessary, you on the radio taking someone's name and making fun of it is disrespectful, opinions are just that an opinion, to call people names is childish. You shouldn't have this type of job if you can't be respectful.

@lillium6568 10 days ago

Army is not going to respond to what's his name they are going to glass wall him. The same as that rapper that insulted Suga and RM in 2013. Don't support their algorithm. Or say their name

@annalizabierinckx1187 10 days ago

IT'S NOT A CONCERT OF BTS THEY ARE INVITED THEM THE FESTIVAL WHAT TO SAY WHY PEOPLE MOCKING JUNG KOOK NAME THATS NOT FUNNY😮

@kellymack4099 10 days ago

He should be FIRED! I use to be a radio personality and the FCC would have fired me if I said those things. But I guess you can say what you want now days.

He won't get fired and he most likely won't apologize.
