I am a verified, certified, and renowned Kirby Air Ride LOVER! I played the original a ton as a kid and I was a little skeptical if the new one would hold up. Will this short time spent with the demo sell me on this new game? is it any fun? (spoiler alert: yes, it is very fun...)

4:56 Ohh yeah, Sakurai did say the machines are alive. So when they drive up to you, they are kinda choosing you 😊

The needle animation is almost certainly due to the fact that the riders all have different heads, so animating the needles on the hat itself might look jank on Rick, for example.

A pro tip: if you're ever defeated and notice a purple devil icon on a player soon after, that's the player who defeated you. You'll get an extra bonus if you take revenge.

can you take this video down? gooey died only a couple moments after you saw him doing all that weird stuff. people are already upset that he's not going to be appearing in the game anymore no need to spread more hurt. thank you.

Dismounting your star or getting killed makes the closest unmanned machine rideshare up to you

2 reasons for spikes not extending.
1, they made the attack last after boosting, meaning there is a lot more kirby animation to consider.

2 characters at many different heights and widths and head sizes would need specific splike extending setups.

i am sad the animation is worse, but spike is a lot more usable in this game

This was a beautiful journey
A journey of someone bitter over what they have lost
To someone finding joy in what they have found

Truly, this was a Kirby Air Riders 😔✊

I don’t like the new city trial map but it’s acceptable. They got SO MUCH other stuff right I’m willing to overlook that it’s not 100% perfect. The demo itself was already much more than I ever thought we would get. The fact that there’s so many characters is a dream come true. Literally the ONLY thing I wanted new for a sequel was to be able to play as king dedede in the city trial.
