My favorite’s the Swerve Star, I love how it has two speeds: Yes and No.

Has a bit of a learning curve but it’s n City Trial the ability to stop on a dime and pick a direction is golden.

It’s VERY intense at high speeds tho. If you are doing it properly, it looks like you’re playing Temple Run and F-Zero at the same time.

Also if you're having trouble braking...
You use the charge button to drift or stop, but not both.
The deceleration effect lessens while turning. If you hold in a straight line you come to a stop. If you turn while holding you maintain a low speed and take much longer to stop.
You can pull back on the stick to stop sooner, and forward to stop longer. However the same rule above applies, in order to stop FAST you need to stay in a straight line. It's also counteracted by top speed, it's not an instant stop but a high speed deceleration.

Didn’t know there were quick spin options until this vid, so thanks! I actually kinda like “shake to spin” a lot lol, it’s nice not having to alter my movement to spin. Almost wish you could disable stick quick spin entirely lol

Wagon Star w/ Waddle Dee or Bandana Dee is my favorite. Very smooth turning, with fast acceleration

Could you do some more character + ride combos? This really helped as DDD with the Scoot is super good.

I love how all of the machines have completely different playstyles like how the wagon star can't boost charge but is good everywhere else or how the wheelie bike can't glide like the star machines but can turn very well on ground.

Great video! There are so many options in this game I didn't even know were there. Sakurai and his team really put in the work here for customization!

Honestly something id like to see come into a QoL patch is the ability to assign Quick Spin to a button. I know Sakurai wants to keep the amount of buttons your prsssing to a minimum, but it would be a nice option to have regardless.
