Hey friends, welcome to RegenerationNationTV!
We’re Mike & Jess, and we love diving into music, TV, and culture from all over the world. This is a space where we explore new experiences, share laughs, and connect with amazing people like YOU!

It’s Tim’s birthday, but it also happens to be quiz night at the office... and of course, things get weird fast. Between David trying way too hard and the usual awkward tension, this episode had us laughing and cringing the whole way through.

I like that Finch basically exists as a character to show that Brent’s not really a bad guy; he’s an idiot who thinks he’s brilliant, he has zero self awareness and a fragile ego, but he’s not a nasty dickhead like Finch is.

The next episode is an absolute belter.

"Free love on the free love freeway........."

Stephen Merchant appeared on Blockbusters in the 90s before he was famous. The Yazz question was one of his questions. The clip is on YouTube! 😂

"I've got a question on the Suez canal." ... "Which canal links the mediterranean with the Red Sea?" The blank unresponsive looks on your faces was priceless! And then the delayed reaction... "He just gave away the answer!"

This series is one of the best written shows ever. Bear in mind when it came onto our UK screens there was no Smart phones or anything like that. For people like me who worked in an office this show had more gravity at that time because it was so comparable to what it was like in an office at the time albeit over emphasised for comedy

When this was originally aired, most of the actors and actresses were unknown

The one joke that US folks never seem to get is Brent answering the 'who is the Cuban leader' question with 'Fray Bentos'. To explain, Fray Bentos is a brand of canned processed meat products popular in the UK and Australia - to the best of my knowledge you can't get them in the US, hence the joke falling somewhat flat!

Just tiny half-second look to the camera is genius in this show.

Finchy is such a bully, and abuses and hates Brent. Brent is so pathetic that his only friend is a bully. The scales fall from Brent's eyes in the final episode where he finally stands up to Finchy.

I worked in an office where there was a Chris Finch. He was the Sales Rep who would pop in every so often, was an absolute knob, but some of the management idolised him.

The similarity was uncanny.

'anyway, he is a vegetable now' 8:17 they missed that classic line!!

If you don’t feel cringingly embarrassed during the show Ricky hasn’t done his job. He always does the job. Love it. Saw it first time around. Best sitcom ever. Regards from Ireland

The geeky guy is played by Mackenzie Crook a very talented British actor, writer, and director! He starred, wrote and directed the British TV series:
‘Detectorists’ about the adventures of a group of metal Detectorists in the UK! Very funny!
