I want so bad for the faceless men storyline to hold more water than impressing Brienne for a chuckle.
The implications and mystique is so good.

Arya going into the ice crypts is a nice mirror of the faceless man going into the fiery mines of Valyria, descending to the depths to confront evil.

So much to love here, but I'm especially enjoying Arya talking Bran out of his ascension, and Nymeria eating the Boltons. Both of those things feel so right.

Bran willingly giving up power and helping Arya from within with no issues does not sound like a Martin arc. Bran agreeing to Arya after he’s already inside and then the last step being that she has to kill him for the sake of his own redemption sounds like a Martin arc.

1+ hour Arya video from Big Mike? Praise the gods

i feel like GRRM still has plans for Jon and Arya to be important in each others stories, not as a Rhaegar and Lyanna parallel anymore but as a Ned and Lyanna parallel. Because Jon's arc in ADWD has a lot of allusions to Arya, what with Alys Karstark and Jeyne Poole and one of his dying thoughts being "stick them with the pointy end", a line from AGOT.

best theory ive seen yet for why the faceless men tolerate so much of Arya's disobedient bullshit.

44:57 If Lady SH takes HH by forcing Baelish to marry her and then hanging him, I will loose it from glee!

“The fat man’s plan? The one that changes every time the moon turns?" and thank god the plan did in fact change from the Jon x Arya stuff

So GRRM maybe not finishing the books is probably his ultimate meta commentary on the futility of trying to live forever

1:08:50 Nymeria's pack putting down the Boltons hounds would also symbolize Arya giving the gift of Mercy to the souls of the poor girls each dog is named after

liked and hyped, can't wait to see where you're going with this

A point for Nymeria killing the Boltons is we know the Direwolves have a telepathic connection. She would be avenging Grey Wind, killed by the Boltons at the red wedding

The Ghost of High Heart quote is almost enough to convince me of this theory. It makes so much sense in this context, especially if we accept that she is in fact a child of the forest. She is basically foreseeing Arya genociding her few remaining relatives.
If this goes as far a Arya being instrumental in not only killing off the living greenseers but also perhpas destroying the weirwood trees and thereby the souls of those inside of the trees, then we might be talking about extinguishing the lives of potentially thousands of children forever. No wonder the Ghost has such a strong reaction to seeing her!

This made me realize that Arya probably has the most varied knowledge of religion of all our characters.
She grew up with the Old Gods in the north but knows about the Seven from her mother. Witnessed a R'holor resurrection, and is training with the faceless men.
I don't think we have all the pieces of the puzzle to understand what roles the Gods are trying to play in this world, so this makes me think Arya will be a big clue to that

I have always believed that the Faceless Men knew exactly what they were doing in training Arya. They were training an instrument to fight the greatest abomination possible: the denial of death, ie the Others.

The show: Arya kills the Night King, pissing everyone off who felt that it was too big of a role for her character
The book: Arya kills The Mountain, and Lady Stoneheart, and Bloodraven, and Ramsay Bolton, and Roose Bolton.
Lol!

Arya's chapters are my favorite in the series

Lady Stonehearts meeting up with LF to take revenge would be so incredible! He has Main Character Syndrome and if he gets a letter promising marriage he would bankrupt the coffers to bring his army swiftly to his “true love”.  Arya giving her the gift of mercy after would be great.. Arya ending Roose while in Nymeria ….wonderful!  I remember the snow drifts up and over the Walls. The Wolves might be able to run right up and over them into Winterfell.  If Arya was inside Nymeria she might be able to get into the Crypt in Wolf form and make her way to the bottom crypts. Maybe there’s a cavern in the woods…

The last time I was somewhere this early, the Bloodstone Emperor was still a living man instead of a legend
