The bigger they are, the harder they fall...

Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish is the most Machiavellian character in a song of ice and fire (according to George RR Martin). A smiling, unassuming man, everyone's friend, most characters in this world of ice and fire do not view him as a threat. Why would they? He has no great title or great armies. But what Petyr lacks in power, he makes up for in ambition. In this theory video, I discuss what I think Petyr is up to. What's his plan? What motives him? What does Petyr Baelish want? In my opinion, what Petyr wants most of all is revenge...

I think you are right about most of your predictions here, but I believe there is another log that will be added to Littlefinger's funeral pyre.
When it came to Littlefinger's original scheme he had to make absolutely sure Ned Stark never made it back to the north to divulge Littlefinger's treachery to the rest of the Starks. He undoubtedly did all he could to manipulate Joffrey to take Ned's head as you said, but to make completely sure it is very likely he also hired the faceless man who happened to be in the caravan heading to the wall that was supposed to have Ned Stark traveling in it. If that is indeed the case, the faceless men will have kept records of the transaction. Records that another daughter of Ned Stark is currently in close proximity to, another irony being that her being there is also a direct consequence of Littlefinger hiring the faceless men. Sansa will no doubt play the main part, but I believe it will be the pack that takes down Littlefinger not a lone wolf.

Petyr's entire thing is Lying. He doesn't go into the Godswood to meet Sansa-instead he sends Dontos? Why? Cuz he can't lie in front of a heart tree. And then consider what he says to sansa after he takes her out of KL. Petyr tells her how Tyrion was married before and how when Tyrion was bored of his first wife, he gave her to his guards. Petyr ALSO tells sansa that she has to LIVE the lie even in her THOUGHTS. Baelish LIES even when he can tell the truth or just say nothing.

I think there are some questions that Preston brought up that have to be addressed:
1.) How does invading the North help Littlefinger? It's a war wearied, depopulated wreck and Winterfell is a ruin. Winterfell's greenhouses were vital to the survival of its denizens in winter and they were destroyed. Bolton and friends are running out of food there as of the end of Dance and it's merely the start of winter. How will it be occupied by a foreign host without them immediately starving? There's a massive logistical problem there.
2.) Littlefinger's desire for Harrenhal is very specific and he was perfectly happy with Janos Slynt holding it in his stead. How did Janos holding Harrenhal help Littlefinger? It is only when Tyrion sends Janos to the Wall that Littlefinger sets his sights on owning it directly. But again, why? There are plenty of other holdings in the Riverlands he could be given. Something like Seagard isn't a ruin and doesn't come with a horrible curse.
3.) Lysa is a grown woman and the ruler of the Vale. Nobody can tell her no when it comes to marrying whoever she wants. The idea that high social status is necessary could benefit Littlefinger, but only if the Lannisters perceive that he needs a higher station to make a marriage with Lysa possible and are willing to award him titles to enable this plan, but he doesn't reveal this plan until AFTER he is named Lord Paramount of the Trident.
4.) The Bael the Bard story parallels. I think Preston is wrong about Littlefinger being aware about the parallel between himself and Bael the Bard, rather this is the author making a story parallel. Like bards, mockingbirds are known for their songs and Littlefinger wears a mockingbird insignia. Littlefinger has stolen the Lord of Winterfell's daughter and is hiding with her. Ygrette characterizes the story of Bael as romantic, if she didn't do that, the reader would interpret the story as what it really was, a nightmarish story of kidnapping and sexual assault. Bael's story ends when he is killed by the son he fathered during the abduction in battle 30 years later. Martin set this up so unless he decides to abandon it, Littlefinger is going to trend towards that end, likely in some ironic way.

"...thus giving us one of the least impressive prophecies in the series."

Hilarious.

The alpha/beta wolves being a matter of captivity makes sense in an awful way I hadn't considered. In the wild, wolves can leave a pack and found their own wolf pack, this is not at all uncommon. If they're all penned into a cage, they are forced into an arbitrary pack, cannot escape, and their social mechanisms become a toxic disaster.

Pity is the death of desire. YES!!!

The "Unkiss" is another issue altogether, she is making "her own song" making her story with Sandor "romantic". The text doesn't present this as trauma, she remembers everything about that night, and she even understand why Sandor acted that way. Plus she thinks about him a whole lot, and compares every man to him.

I think Sansa will turn on Littlefinger because of Ned's Death, but it could be Sandor who spills the beans, he was there at KL, and maybe, just maybe, he will get to Winterfell after the Quite Isle to be Sansa's protector
