I remember reading a similar theory on Reddit back in 2015. Some guy named Lucifer means Lightbringer.

Hightower mech WILL fight Eurons kraken at Oldtown🙏

No Ai? Hell yea brother

I love when old theories get an update.

Finally, the prophecy has been fulfilled! A video dedicated to Moon Meteor Theory. What an auspicious day!

4:40 Someone praised Garth so hard that the earth got covered in smoke

I would LOVE an "Are The Others From Space?" Video

Woah, I never thought about Joffrey's face turning purple during his wedding as a metaphor for the long night legends!

When I saw this in my notifications, I had to go get in my car so I could buckle a literal seatbelt before watching. It's been marvelous to watch your style, and understanding of the material, evolve over the years. All the while never compromising who you are or giving up your fascination with the moon meteors.

If the fire moon itself became some type of oily black stone, it might imply that it "drinks light" like it does, and no longer reflects sunlight.

Can't believe I forgot this. In Terry Brooks book the Elfstones of Shannara (the best, to my mind) The Ellcrys is silver-white barked, crimson leaved tree. She is both tree and woman, and is the metaphysical barrier that keeps the demons out of the “real” world. She chooses at least six young men to serve her. But when she chooses a woman, she is close to death and must tell the girl how to replace her.

I personally want the Hightower to fall during Euron’s attack to reveal that the black stone base is actually the ancient tomb of Azor Ahai.

Last time I was this early, Maester Aemon wasn’t blind yet.

5:19 Storm's End is a spaceship?!! I hadn't heard that one. 😂

I'm kinda disappointed he didn't demonstrate the theory using the props on his desk. I was sure he was going to bring the sun and moon together then stab the moon with the dagger.

IMO the endgame is to restore the second moon…. The second moon still exists, but it can only be seen from the North Pole/land of always winter.  This is why the others and old gods magic still exists there.  (Just copying lore from Elden ring, which GRRM helped to write).

The original long night involved taking magical power from the cosmos which caused the second moon to disappear, and also meteors.   The endgame of ASOIAF is to restore the second moon.  This means our heroes will have to selflessly relinquish power back to the gods, not take it for themselves like the evil azor ahai.

Throughout the series we see Targaryens fighting for power because they think they are the prophecied hero to save the world.  But Jon was spared knowledge of the prophecy, so he doesn’t have the self-centered hero complex like everyone else, and he can have the humility to refuse power and self aggrandizement, which he’s done many times already.

In Old Nan we trust, indeed. Never been this early, just know it'll be an amazing video as always ❤️ thanks for all the hard work David

I like the geostationary moon chunk over Asshai hypothesis.

We have to remember that George was a prolific Sci-fi writer before he jumped into Medieval Fantasy world

EDIT since my comment sparked some form of debate: my intent was not to oppose David's opinions but rather complement. My point is that George has a lot of astronomy in mind and therefore these moon/meteors theories are not too absurd as a great portion in the fandom has come to say. George definitely has written how these astro celestial bodies influentiated his characters before

Unreal refresh pull

At this point, I consider the Moon Meteor plot as canon in my head lol. This video is a great summary of the separate essays that bring it all together. But until GRRM discredits it with The Winds of Winter or A Dream of Spring (seems like a far distant dream that this book will happen lol) I am sold.
