Thank you for taking the pictures of Robert the Horse with your friend and created priceless memories before his passing.

Beautiful camera…miss the gold Nikon boxes you know you had something good!

Good to see you back Martin, and thanks for posting those great images of Robban, you had harsh but great light too. I sho😊ot a Df along with a D700, D3s and D3x, all great cameras still especially with great glass. i find the raw files from the D3x almost like medium format with great colour science too. Thanks for the video, cheers, Robert.

When the Nikon D4 was released in 2012, it was an unattainable dream—because of  price, of course. Fifteen years later, I remembered about my old dream and finally fulfilled that, bought the camera. Today, you can find one in good condition for a very reasonable price. I Can’t wait for my package to arrive. Google obviously noticed I was looking for information, and YouTube recommended this video to me. That story about the horse is very touching, and the photos are beautiful. Thank you.

I just got D2X on les than 25 000 clicks , same size beast.

Congratulations! DSLR forever 😅

Wonderful stuff! Nice pictures. Have a great christmas time.

brand new

Great job with the photos. And what a beautiful story, it's like your friend had a 6th sense about it.

beautiful film

Hi Martin, I just bumped into you by the way. That's great. The D4s is the camera of 2025! It's truly the best DSLR for me. I like your photos and how you present the D4s – very cool! How long have you been taking photographs?
I went from the D2Xs to the D4s, and it turns night into day. Sharp as a mid-range camera, and the color depth... I also have a D5, a D810 (the queen of landscape photography), and a D500 for wildlife photography. Since I often use a heavy prime telephoto lens, the D4s isn't too heavy for me at all, because it provides a counterweight to the four-kilo telephoto. I also recommend a neoprene strap so you forget you're carrying it! I do a lot of night photography in my hometown of Miami. I go to clubs and, when the weather's nice, I take the D810 to the Everglades. Photography is a great passion of mine, which I approach primarily from an artistic perspective. You live in Sweden; it must be very beautiful, but too dark, as you say. I'm at the other extreme, in sunny state is 90% sunshine and so hot. I hope you continue to enjoy the best DSLR, the D4s. Greetings from South Beach, Miami 🍀☀️🫶☺️

Fint!

Very nice memory images from 'horses of cause is'... My focus is also on the beautiful, classic DSLRs (and SLRs). However, for my taste and needs, I chose a different combination with which I can cover 35mm film, half-frame (DX) and full-frame (FX). But the beauty and also economic advantges of this setup is the ability to use my 20 almost exclusively MF lenses on Nikon F & F2S, matEL & Nikon EL2, as well es F801s, and then on the DSLRs D300, D700 (got it with less than 10.000 exp), and D810.
I chose the 36 Mp of the D810 for one reason only: because it provides a good basis for using its optional 1:1 = 24x24mm format, since I prefer the square format for image composition. That saves me from owning and investing in expensive Hasselblad gear; but I still own and use the Yashicamat 124G for 6x6 roll film.

Not only the D4s but any other Nikon camera from or around that period was great. I don't like the built and feel of todays cameras. I have a Z5 but had to add a L bracket to give it some better grip.

1:11 Missed pixelation :D
