The cool thing about the PEN having the "lowest" weather sealing rating is the fact that it has the same rating as the EM1-X, maybe the best built camera Olympus/OM ever made.

E-P7 the best value of the lot - and terrific looking.

Pen F - SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL.

The E-P7 is the best tiny m43 camera ever made.  It's my favorite camera of all time.  The new PEN does NOT replace it.  So sad that they will never produce an upgrade to it.  Any true upgrade to the E-P7 must retain the tiny size.  For the time being the OM-3 and E-P7 will be my killer combo.

Would have liked to see ep7 in the list. It’s sits exactly in between the pen f and  new pen

I’ve got 2 PEN Fs in excellent condition and just ordered a OM PEN in black. All Olympus or OM System cameras are great and importantly fun to use.

Slightly disappointed that the EP7 was overlooked. I bought mine 4 months ago. When  it first came to market the immediate observation was that it  lacked the facility to attach a an electronic viewfinder like  models that preceded the EPL8. I initially discounted it. It seemed to be no advantage to my EPL7 but I then realised that I rarely used my VF3 and this year I bagged a bargain. The ‘colour’ dial alone could be the reason to buy it …..so easy not only to select 4 b&w and 4 colour presets but these can be individually tweaked and stored in camera. Current prices are under £500 used which is great for a lightweight carry.

The E-P7 seems to get overlooked a lot, which is a shame, as it’s one of my favourite cameras and takes great photos. If it had some weather sealing, I wouldn’t be considering getting the OM Pen.

I’m on the verge of convincing myself the new PEN will be my next OM.  I’m just coming back from a European trip where I carried two OM bodies and two lenses. Even then I I’m trying to think about how to lighten my load next time.

Another great video, Jimmy! Many, many thanks!

I was basically shoot old DSLR’s and wanted a smaller walk around camera. Bought a Pen E-P3 and it has become my everyday carry. The new Pen is the first new camera I have considered buying.

Whoa whoa I don’t see the epm-1 on here haha. Great video man!

I own the PEN-F. It is a really nice looking camera. I went to the wedding of my nephew this spring just as a guest, not the photographer, and I left the OM-1 at home while I took the PEN-F with three lenses to the wedding.

It was fun bumping into you at Shad Thames this morning Jimmy, got to see you working in the wild!

From shoot to publishing in a morning! Hard at work.

I bought a pristine Pen F in March 2026.  Only 3500 shutter clicks.  I absolutely love the convenience of carrying it around and the pictures are straight out of camera are awesome.  I also have the OM-1 but the Pen F comes in pretty handy in certain situations.

I asked Grok AI to make a list of current ILCs that you can buy new for less than $1,000 USD, with the following features: Weather Sealing, IBIS, Phase-detect AF, and an EVF. The list was very short. It consisted of the OM Pen.

Love the Epm1

Hello from Finland, and thanks for a great video again. Just was fiddling with my PEN Lite E-PL5, which is now 14 yrs old and going strong. My main camera is the OM-3, with Leofoto's grip it is even a serious bird catcher. And beside that sits the TG-7, which is my power microscope, truly one of a kind. And last but not least: my "PEN in black" is about to arrive tomorrow! That will be my everyday carry. Keep on filming...

I also have a Pen F and am similarly too scared to use it regularly. Mine is in perfect condition, and it is such a coveted camera with a beautiful design. It's big weakness is the thumb grip that almost always comes off after persistent use. I almost wish I had two... one to shoot and one to keep, but I'm not a millionaire 😆

My favorite camera is the Olympus Pen E-P5, which I bought new in 2014, and I still shoot with it every day.
