Maybe the most popular Emulation Handheld I've ever seen. Besides just the powerful emulation capabilities, it's something about the AESTHETIC makes people want an AYN THOR. But it doesn't just come like this out of the box...

With frontends, I think it's less about "seeing how the sausage is made" or over-simplifying things, and more about having a console like experience from their handheld. Some people really love opening/turning on a device and having everything neatly laid out like it would be on an official console

holy shit im thebowelhunter, the guy who made the Wiive theme. i havent seen anyone use it in a video but now BOB HIMSELF did? lol glad you like it

I’m working on a console called the AYN Rand. Basically it berates you while you play and says you’ll never amount to anything

1:45 the exact same thing happened YEARS ago in one of his videos where he said "you can't fit the switch in your pocket" he then proceeded to fit 92 percent of the switch (with joycons) in his pocket

Of course Bob found out if he could fit an entire steam deck in his jacket pocket
"Hey pal, wanna buy a handheld?"

I bought an Ayn Thor because of you! I always wanted a DS as a kid but never was allowed to have one. Now I'm experiencing 3DS games with a sense of childlike wonder in my twenties

Literally watching videos while messing with my AYN Thor

Refresh pull came in clutch

“No don’t! My polycule!”

These two front ends tend to keep me on track to actually finish games. I can shortcut a few games that I’m playing, instead of browsing and getting distracted.

As of yesterday, Slay the Spire 2 works on GN 😄

Hey Bob! Thanks for the shoutout, it’s guys like yourself and @retrogamecorps that inspired me to start making videos so I owe you both so much! ❤😊

7:21 as someone whose first exposure to this hobby was the RP5, I agree. I had many frustrating experiences trying to get it to work with all the games I want. It’s definitely not beginner friendly but it’s 100% worth it.

@3:03 because everyone just got theirs now LOL

Thank you now I can send people this video every time they ask me about the Thor since I don’t own one lol

The loading bar on azahar happens if you play a game in azahar, then go back to cocoon homescreen, then try to load another game. This causes a permanent loading screen that hopefully will be fixed in a future Azahar update. You need to fully close Azahar from the app switch instead of just hitting the home button to solve the problem currently.
