The drop bear is a wildly spread prank australians do to tourists. All MoreParz did for that April's Fools video was using his format and imagination to crank up the details up to 11 :D

Always nice to see how many get fooled by the drop bear propaganda

It's worth noting that the "Birdeater" part of the Goliath Birdeater's name is a slight misnomer. As it is purely ground-dwelling, most of what it will eat are not birds at all - it is, however, an opportunistic feeder, so if it comes across a ground nest or an injured and grounded bird, it will make a meal of it. Also, its bite, when inflicted on humans, is not much worse than the sting of a common wasp unless the individual is specifically allergic. Not usually aggressive, but are highly skittish and defensive, and while biting is something they'll do as a last resort, they'll generally just try to make a run for it.

5:44 : Here's how it makes you allergic. See, when an insect bites you, your body memorizes the content of the insect's saliva to be able to fight it next time. Lonestar tick saliva is no exception. Problem, one of the things in its saliva is a protein that is contained in red meet... So yeah, by developing immunity to lonestar tick saliva, you develop immunity to red meat, thus allergy

So Alpha Gal syndrome CAN go away, for some people, they outgrow that allergy in a few years, like 1 to 5 years, but this is not a guaranteed thing, because it can be a lifelong change. It's just not always one

12:40 the brown recluse causes necrosis directly with necrotic venom. The fleur causes it by proxy with HEMORRHAGIC venom that causes blood clots and internal bleeding.

I cackled so hard when that stupid bird showed up. FIRMLY GRASP IT!

To be absolutely fair, koalas can and will maim you. They have a solid bite force and courtesy of them being dumb as fuck it’s very easy to piss them off

I had to get tested for alpha-gal syndrome a few years ago. Thankfully, I didn't have it. I'd accidently cut red meat out of my diet for several months, so when I ate it again my body freaked out. Apparently the same thing happened with wheat when I was a kid????

Argon: That's like the weight of a bird!

Me: About that....

Kiwi birds do have wings. They’re just very tiny.

Fun fact, Maitika, Mimi-Siku's spider (Jungle-2-Jungle) was a Goliath Birdeater as well!

18:00 You'd think so, but the California Condor was down to 27 in 1987 and they've made somewhat of a comeback (still critically endangered but apparently as of 2025 they're up to 607 birds in the wild)

13:17 that kakapo was raised by humans and due to that he found them attractive to the point that he will follow anyone around and will attempt to mount their heads like the reporter, they tried to pair him with females to no luck and even had a hat that was made for obtaining his baby batter but that didn't work either, i believe casual geographic has a video about when birds find humans attractive and he talks about that kakapo

Interesting fact about Alpha-gal is that it's a type of sugar molecule found in almost all mammals except for Humans and other Apes and old world Monkeys. So its an allergy to anything mammal based. And why you can still eat any animal that's not a mammal (with exception to mentioned mammals without the sugar molecule) so you can still eat birds as their reptiles and Seafood.

Most likely,  the bacteria or virus that causes that has a shell made up of proteins that are very similar to a protein that's part of red meat. Your body fights that bacteria and then adds that protein to its list of *that's bad stuff you need to fight*, which means that you become immune to the bacteria, but red meat also causes your body to react with alarm because it thinks that its that bacteria.

Now More Parz just needs to cover the Australian Paralysis Tick before Casual Geographics decides to include it in a Halloween upload!

2:57 he is the Roossiah!

If you read the comments on the Goliath's video, youll see a little more about it, but basically they are maybe the most chill and friendly wild tarantulas you can find, to the point its not unusual you can just walk up to it and let it climb on you without gloves and be fine as long as you dont try to grab it or scare it.

When you get bitten by a Lone Star Tick, It sometimes doesn't last a life time. Some people get lucky and can still eat red meat, and dairy, no problem. Some people have allergies that can last a year, or quite a few years. Some people just keep getting bitten by those ticks. Which makes you allergic to red meat, and dairy, for a life time. There are insect sprays that can help protect you from these pests.
