I really enjoyed watching Ready Player One lol

What has bugged me about Free Guy is that it could’ve been an amazing sci-fi epic about the use of AI, and to genuinely say something about game dev culture.

6:35 "Our main trio consist of an incel, an oaf and a gooner". Reddit has done irreparable damage to your vocabulary.

5 years and not a single player of the most played game in the world thought a good idea to reverse at full speed during the race? Yeah right. We got people nowadays solving the most insane Easter Eggs in gaming in a matter of HOURS

Freaking love ready player one😂
Admittedly back in the day it was what got me into popculture (which is what it is ultimately about, not just video games), so it kindof made me into the target audience.
Also i read the book twice and i cant not say that most of the things being called out are mainly problem of the movie (except i guess extensive references to popculture, but again it is littleraly what it is about, its the core theme). For exemple challenges to get the keys are actualy different. First key was hidden in a identical copy of Tomb of Horrors from original advanced Dungeons and Dragons manual and there is a good reason why parsival was only one to find it by themself (beside Art3mis who actualy did it first). Tomb was hidden on the planet "lumos", basicaly the school planet of oasis, because james holliday wanted for a normal kid to have a chance at finding the egg (in the book travel through oasis costs lot of money but tickets to lumos were given to students for free) and book parsival was a poor virtual highschool student with a dream. With 27 cubic light years worth of planets in the oasis no one else except parsival simply bothered to check on Lumos because there was no obvious reason to check a planet literaly populated with nothing but forests and endless copies of the same school.

15:15 the guy was on a War planet were you lose everything there was also other plants not as hostile

You make a Gamer movie video and not have the movie Gamer? Smh.

Haven't watched Ready Player one but i have read it and it was pretty good tbh. granted i read it a while (prob a year or two) ago but

Saw free guy, pixels and Ready player one mentioned and already knew this video might be pretty bad as I love all those movies

If you ever make a sequel to this video, cover Noobz

It just sucks to see how much these studios misuse their budgets. There is genuine potential for a gaming movie but none have enough courage to do something different, so they just drop a ton of references and call it a day.

As terrible as Ready Player One is, I do actually enjoy the scene with Mechagodzilla fighting Gundam and the Iron Giant.

Plus, his design is pretty cool, imo.

Ts might be the worst take of all time

I agree with everything except ready player one

Honestly, all these movies are wasted potential. They just focus more on the brands than the actual game itself

MQC being reccomended to me again? You might be back in the algorithm's favour

they need to bring back the numbers for the thumbs down button

the german auto translation destroy the whole video

why is ready player one here

delete this video plz
