Notice the mall was called" twin pines, when Marty returns to 1985,it,s called" lone" pine mall.

The mall parking lot scenes were filmed at Puente Hills Mall, a mall located in southern California.  In 1982, I met my future (now ex) wife at that mall; she lived with her parents in a small community called Hacienda Heights, less than a mile away.  This movie was released about a year after we got married, and my wife and I, not knowing that Puente Hills Mall was used in the film, went to see it in a theatre.  My wife, who had spent many hours in her teens hanging out at that mall, quickly recognized it and let out a loud squeal, which I think everyone watching the movie heard.

The name of the mall was changed from Twin Pines Mall to Lone Pine Mall because Marty killed one of the twin pines at the Peabody Farm in 1955.

I saw this in a movie theatre when I was 11! My best friend's mom took us, great movie! I'm 52 now! Time moves quickly!

Michael J. Fox was a TV star with his sitcom show, Family Ties. His first starring role was Teen Wolf, which came out in 1985, along with Back to The Future. He completed filming Teen Wolf first and then completed this movie, which is truly considered his breakout film.

24:10 If you wonder why George overslept, a deleted extended version of George's room scene shows Marty entering through the window and then putting his father back asleep with chloroform after telling him to invite Loraine.

Believe it or  not, Thomas F. Wilson, who played Biff is actually a nice guy in real life and based his performance on his experiences of being bullied in high school

One of the (maybe thE) first movies about time travel and the paradoxes it causes. But made into a very light hearted plot. The fascination of this, together with the good chemistry between the actors made this my favorite movie. Note that the scene where Marty sees himself travelling back in time from another viewpoint was groundbreaking for the time.

you guys need to do parts 2 and 3. it is a perfect trilogy

In the future Ketty becomes Queen, she starts becoming mad with power and starts enslaving the other Homies, one of you homies has to go back in time and change the outcome!!😂😂

One of my favorite nostalgic movies! I love it!

This movie’s script is flawless. It is used as a study in every major film school. The sequels are required viewing

In the 50's Marty's reaction to an actor becoming president would be most people's reaction.

Holy crap! Not many reactors seem to realize that Marty didn’t mean to time travel! That was a good catch!

I saw this one in the theatre in mid 1985.  Was pretty big.

OK, the back to the finger joke had me dying!

I love this movie the director Robert Zemeckis directed so many awesome movies like: Back to the Future, Who framed Roger Rabbit, Death Becomes Her, Forrest Gump, Contact, Cast Away, What Lies Beneath, The Polar Express.

I saw this the year. It came out, and I did not recognize a certain actor who would play one of the more memorable quote villains in court in the history of movies when he played Cal in Titanic.  Billy Zane was one of Biffs buddies.

Did you tie in the bit where Doc is crying out “It Works! It Works” with Frankenstein It’s Alive! It’s Alive!

i seen it on big screen in 2025 for 40th anniversary i was there as a millennial it was awesome! 👏🏼 it was packed too at the imax auditorium

18:01 - The ONLY appearance of Doc's 1955 dog in this film. We learn in the sequels that he or she is called Copernicus.
