I liked Roy best, as he was objectively the most active partner of them all. He found evidence, he actively participated in more interrogations than any others (I sorely wish more of your partners would act when you pick the Bad Cop option). You even see little glimpses of…let’s say a slightly, eight of the way decent moments in the man. Specifically that moment when you find one of the murdered marines in the last Vice case.

“Most people never get a chance to be rich. Wouldn’t you take the risk?”

Bekowsky was immediatley warm to phelps.... dont know why you thought he didnt like phelps.... he just saw cole needed to calm down

the scumbag he is, roy earle is such a well-done character by team bondi.  a great embodiment of a scummy, crooked, backstabbing cop, from knowing local druggies, interactions with cohen and other gangsters, overlooking sex crimes, treatment of others.  they did great of making him unlikeable.

It's kinda disappointing with how little Biggs actually appears in the game, when he seemed to be a much bigger character initially. He's the narrator at the beginning of the game and in the 2006 debut trailer, he's featured as Cole's main partner. Granted, things changed between 2006 and 2011 when the game came out, but still, I wish Biggs was more prominent in the game.

I Like all of Cole's partners for different reasons. Bekowsky is an absolute bro. Rusty, while tbh he's my least favourite, can be pretty entertaining. Personally, my 2 favourite partners are Roy and Biggs. I find their personalities and how they get along with Cole the most interesting. I really wish we got to work with Biggs more, because I feel they really could have developed a very strong bond over time, with both of them being socially outcast, emotionally constipated war vets with similar morals.

Roy is my favourite partner to play with. He is a scumbag piece of shit and I enjoy mowing him down with his own car on the regular. But the dynamic between him and Phelps is so complex and interesting, and imo they have some of the most chemistry of all the partners. While overall Roy's morals are in the gutter, some things he says I must admit I think are perfectly reasonable, and show his skill and experience working in such a crooked city for so long. I think that Roy and Cole actually have a lot in common, and made a really great team, with Cole cutting off some of Roy's awfulness, and Roy helping Cole understand the reality of the morally grey work they do. I do wish we got a bit more of Roy's backstory to understand why he's like that a bit more. My opinion is many of his negative traits are born out of insecurity and survival, reinforced by many of the societal expectations of masculinity and success at that time.

Edit to add: I forgot to mention Ralph RIP. Truly a perfect summary of his character lol. I do find him endearing tho

Interesting video! Personally, Rusty has always been my favourite partner. There are quite a few funny moments with him, including when he sits down at the bar and orders a drink in the first homicide case and leaves Phelps to do an interview alone. His lazy and jaded approach to police work is a great contrast to Phelps' rigorous and by-the-book way of doing things, but he's also ultimately still a decent detective. L.A. Noire is probably the game I'd most like a sequel to as it has such an intriguing story with great characters.

I think Cole was even at his happiest working with Bekowsky at the Traffic Desk. His cases were smaller, but they still mattered. The captain still wanted results but wasn't pressuring Cole to deliver someone no matter what. Stefan wasn't by the book, but he wasn't dorty or lazy. It was the least corrupt desk in the entire game where Cole could do his job to the best of his abilities. Cole shouldn't have taken a transfer. He should have stayed in Traffic and waited for a promotion to Detective Sergeant in the Traffic Desk.

Yeah, Bekowsky is thr best with Biggs second. I wish we had Bekowsky as a partner during the whole game, would have loved seeing what he thought of the scandal with Phelps, since they never interacted before Cole died (minus that ad vice case of morphine but that was before) it makes angry that Roy lived and gave the speech at Cole funeral, though maybe that was the message of the game

A sequel. Would be nice, maybe to tie loose ends from the fights against suburban

Nice video

1. Rusty
2. Herschel
3. Stefan
4. Roy

Hey man. Love your video. Was caught in traffic on my way to work listening to this and literally was going “yeah…yeah!” When you spoke. Sick vid

Great Video!

I just thought of this idea and I searched it up and this is the video that is perfect for it. I’m about to start the video, I will give my feedback when it’s done

Great video!!

Out of all the partners that Roy Earle is the second fictional character that gave me trust issues the first is Gen Sheppard from MW2 2009. But I actually liked Stefan Bekowsky and Herschel Biggs even though I’m more like Biggs in reality of being an social basketcase and how that for Stefan that I always found funny now people called him lazy but still done the work. But yeah that out of all of the partners that to me Ralph didn’t make much of an impact on me, I like Stefan and Biggs while Galloway I didn’t care about but is the living embodiment of police laziness if he rather do the shortcut of just arresting husbands which that if Cole wasn’t on Homicide then I wonder how many more women would’ve been killed and their husbands would’ve been arrested but I do love how he socks Ferdinand. And Roy Earle well I don’t have nothing unique to say because what I have to say has been said by others of LA Noire players and how when I first played LA Noire how that my parents said how that there were cops and detectives who were like Galloway and Earle but how that they were kids and teens in the late 50s and the 60s so I can’t imagine how it was in the 1940s

I don't think Roy is racist or a sexist you forget this is the 1940s there are big differences in our society now and back then, back then that kind of behavior was not that radical
