Toni can relate to Claude how ANNOYING Maria it is.

I would say. Toni's mothers skinny quotes and the amount of stress that gave him eventually aged Toni really fast.

Tony Cipriani never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

toni was probably relieved that salvatore died so he could finally be don

I like to believe that when he went to Salvatore's mansion, he raided his safe of half a mill he was owed. Or whatever was left in his safe and then just left Liberty city. Possibly even retired back to Italy.

40:19 toni wasn't a made man in the beginning, he was a soldier which is why he did the hit and went hiding. He thought he was gonna be a made man by the time he came back yet wasnt

Toni got back in shape.

"...my name ain't Toni! Ok?! But my ma she goes Toni Toni..."

Keep up the good work man!!!!

This video has insane production and research. Well done!!

This is more sopranos vibes

He's Rockstar's Jimmy Hoffa.

Don Cipriani

Funny, when I go to the roof vantage point, it never seems to work for me, since he runs off to his car, so I usually end up just running to the back door and shooting Salvatore with an SMG before he gets to the limo.

most likely tony cipriani tony became don.

gonna be pedantic, its "SIP"-riani not CHIP

I really like the shadow boss theory cuz it makes the most sense imo
Joey is the new Don on paper but doesn't actually care abt running things himself
So who better to do that job for him then Toni (Plus it would satisfy his nagging mother)
And I do believe that considering how much respect and understanding Toni has for Claude, he would try to patch things up

Because Claude was just a hired gun,  Toni came after the yakuza like the mission under surveillance shows us.

Toni himself hurt the yakuza pretty badly in LCS, but the yakuza never came for him, they came for Salvatore through Claude instead, now history simply repeats itself

What version of LCS are you playing in the footage?

I personally believe Toni was 37 in 98, he seemed more hardened than Tommy was as a mobster, and it's likely that Toni did much more work for Salvatore before he left LC, Salvatore was just distrusting to appoint Toni into a soldier, and it's possible that the dynamics were different in the early 70s, when Tommy worked as Sonny's hitman. Toni does the same in '98, but unlike Tommy, he doesn't get a 15 year jail stint only for a later fallout between Forelli and Vercetti over personal grudges and petty vendettas, but the point that I'm getting at is that Toni was fiercely loyal, and competent. As for Claude, on a Toni Cipriani Lore Video by the Professional, a dude over the comment section suggested that the Leones won't actively hunt Claude down (or at least fully declare war on him as Bulgarin, Dimitri, Martinez and some others did against just one person, although others were involved in these betrayals, and Ray Boccino's case involved Johnny's brothers) due to the bad luck the Forellis had since their first Don was killed, so it'd be a hassle, and Toni had his own experience with hitmen because of his Ma, so the Leone Don likely placed a contract on Claude's head should he ever walk around Saint Mark's again, and Toni, if we take LCS into context, likely hoped that the Cartel will handle Claude, and he knew Miguel personally so the two might've conspired against Claude. Also, I suppose Toni took Salvatore's death pretty hard, because when it comes to the standards of friendship, Salvatore was certainly Toni's most valuable friend, not just his boss and father figure, but also his best friend. The Yakuza killing Salvatore might've weighed on Toni. I don't think he would enter a power struggle for the position of Don, I think Toni would be encouraged to maintain his position by his Ma rather than become Don, and even if he'd mess up, his mother could never touch him again. I think Toni would be perfectly willing to share power with Joey; Toni's ambitious when it comes to climbing the ladder, but unlike Tommy, he doesn't want to be a kingpin or an on-paper-businessman or a drug baron; he just wants to do right by his boss and his mother and hopefully reach his father's position. I think Toni would become Don, if the position was offered to him, but while he is knowledgeable about gangs and organized crime groups, managing a powerful Mafia Family would be difficult, unless he had proper guidance. Salvatore lasted so far because, for the most part, he couldn't give a shit what people thought about him, and was absolutely ruthless. Toni's a bit different. There is the possibility that you've touched on, the Sicilians, and that they took over the Leones, which could be true, and would explain why the mob don't try to kill Claude more than twice, because Claude eliminated the last obstacle, the last original don, to finalize the Sicilians' takeover, but Uncle Leone would likely be somewhat 'honor-bound' to avenge his nephew, so I doubt that, but there is a possibility that the Sicilians/Leones completely took over following Miguel, Catalina, Kenji and Asuka's deaths in a short span of time, creating a power vaccum in LC once again. I think that if Toni managed to rebuild the organization to full manpower, that he'd eventually turn his sights onto CJ but offing him would be a hassle which might become either the Leones' full downfall, or biggest victory because we'd never know and apart from the Sicilians and possibly the Cartel, the Leones have no gang they can rely on. I highly doubt Toni would fight with Joey for power, he's too loyal, too loyal to the Leone name for that. He'd respect Joey's position just as he respected his pops, and I think he would try to get revenge, and Toni of all people could figure out easily who helped Claude out, which he does, so comes into play the aforementioned feud with the Yakuza, which Asuka wanted revenge for but she couldn't find the killer, she needed the one who obstienly called the shots - Don Leone. I doubt Toni waged war with Claude for years; while Claude's got a repuatation, i doubt the Yakuza would back him after Asuka's death. The Leones could eventually overwhelm Claude in my opinion. I think you're ultimately right about what you said and I agree, you've also mentioned some points i added from that lore video too. I don't think Claude would be welcomed back, there's too much bad blood and Claude killed Toni's father figure and Joey's actual father, plus i'm sure that in hindsight, you can make an argument for Toni being the Leones' most efficient killer, he practically became their capo after he was made and Sal spared him because that was likely a test - the strongest one should be his right-hand-man. (Evidence for Toni becoming a capo straight away is Toni becoming the family's representative while associating with some of their most important allies. Toni was Salvatore's right-hand since then, a deadly enforcer, his fist and might on the organized crime streets of Liberty City.) And it should be noted that however long Toni's reign was, he was one of the most powerful GTA protagonists of all time because the Cartel and Yakuza decimation due to the war would make the Leone crime family the strongest gang yet again, and that would buy Toni time. Additionally, I think the Sicilians would be content with Toni at the helm as he'd pay them tribute and respect them, and they would need him because LC was always mob-controlled. I also doubt O'Donovan would escape the Leones' control that easily, he knows what happened with R.C. Hole, and he'd likely reach out to Salvatore's successor, and it is very possible that Salvatore had meetings with Miles, meetings that would likely be attended to by Toni. Giving Toni up would be a mistake, allying with him would be beneficial, and Toni knows of Miles' corruption.
