Grammy winning singer/songwriter Jelly Roll faced heavy backlash after making jokes about president Donald Trump while guest hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Some of his fanbase were shocked to find out that the country singer may not have the political views they would have assumed! In a follow up monologue, Jelly Roll defended his position, and with tear soaked eyes explained the political neutrality he learned from his father. But which segments of his speech are a PR move and which ones come from real emotion? Find out now!

Hey all! Thank you so much for your patience with this one, it took about two weeks for the copyright claim to go away, but I’m glad it did. I think this one had some really great moments for behavioral analysis. Enjoy!

I know how difficult it is when I miss glabella day at the gym. It makes me sad, but nobody knows it. 😔😏

"It's like he never skipped glabella day at the gym," had me dying. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the lesson on heuristics and also explaining the difference between idiosyncratic and baseline! Very helpful.

I'm not a Jelly Roll fan and I have no interest in what he thinks about anything. That said, this was a great episode and I love your analysis, Spidey
Cheers

I love how thorough you are with everything, never a disappointing video, really appreciate all that you do! I grew up in an emotionally turbulent environment and from that, I became a bit of a natural at reading others but the problem with being a natural, you don't understand the science, and it's extremely hard to explain what you see to others who have no idea what you're talking about. You have played an integral part in helping me put the science and my intuition together so everything starts to make a lot more sense! So thank you so much!

Only thing is, there is a point at which it is in fact, "too late to do the right thing"

Thank you, Spidey. Your analysis is always so intricate and comprehensive, while always being unbiased. You're the best behavioral analyst on YouTube, and this video is one of your best efforts. I'm very surprised at all the commentors here who are ignoring that and interjecting their own biases.

Please continue your incredible work unscathed!

Thanks for all your excellent hard work Spidey!🎉❤🎉

he was thinking about making his daddy proud by shaking the presidents hand but not worried about it when going to prison or tattooing his face up. I find the difference odd.

Playing to his base; he’s a country artist he knows what he’s doing.

He had to “undo” the damage incurred by willingly hosting a late nite show famous for its namesake’s extreme, unabashed hatred of DJT and proudly liberal P.O.V.

What a weasel. Had no trouble cashing their checks and soaking up all the priceless publicity taking the gig gave him.

Woo hoo I can see the video on YouTube.
Thanks Spidey ❤

Wheuw that was a weird one for me. My overall feeling was that he'd been forced to make a justification type speech, but then freestyle his way back to his real feelings on DT. A good performer can call on distressing events in their lives to channel a required emotion. Or am I just being really cynical???
