Big thumb up for: Should be Isle of man be banned? your answer: No!. That is the spirit. 👍

Michael Dunlops father was also killed in Practice (NW200 for Robert (father) and The Skerries, outside Dublin, for William (brother)). Joey (Uncle) died at a race near Tallin in Estonia in 2000. He was on one of his Runs to drop off aid to the needy, something he'd done through out the 90's in the Balkens (Romania, Serbia, Czecha, Kosovo, etc), and to use a local expression, to get his head showered. He was doing something he loved when the Almighty called upon him. Today Michael carries the Dunlop torch, we can only hope great things still come for him :)

Damn what a blast that it

Wouldn't get me on one! Couldn't imagine trying to be so precise with your line and braking all while someone is moving around beside you and praying they're in the right position at the right time    😮

The winningest Sidecar man is Dave Molyneux with 17 wins with various passengers. Last few years he was trying to get a cheaper engine setup for the class. More on that later. The winningest team is the Birchalls, Ben and Tom Birchall, from 2013-2023 were pretty much, if they finished they won, taking 14 wins together, but Tom retired (does color commentary for the TT streams and TV, now), and Ben has been working through passengers, and just missing out on the top. The Crowe Brothers have been the winners since, but this year, took flight at top speed and the TT organizers canceled the class. It will come back with some changes next year (now with "Sportbike" engines, and some mandatory electrics, less aero) and the Crowes look to race again. Also, their father used to race outfits, and lost a leg and arm after hitting a hare and crashing (yes, a large rabbit took them out). One of the few and faster women to run the TT is Maria Costello, who added racing a sidecar recently, but she too had a horrible accident this year(again after hitting a hare), her passenger lost some eyesight, and she is paralyzed from chest down. The Rules recently were changed to outlaw 7 speed custom transmissions, but the aero the Crowes were working on were making them so much faster, until it didn't and they flew. They were lucky to not be injured worse. The lowest TT class was Super-Twins, replacing 250cc 2strokes, but they got expensive, and it was decided to go with the FIM/WSB Sportbike rules where more bikes are within the rules and limits are added for smaller engines to compete with larger ones with some sliding weight and electronic limits to even the fields. Part of the evaluation the TT folks did came to the conclusion that would also be the engine to use for Sidecars. Moly was using a KTM big twin, so going slightly down in power from that is now the class. I'm hoping we get a good full class with better racing next year.

Oh goody  let's see what a Posh never been or ever do it "racing" driver boy ..got to post on it,    Bless him , and the paws

If you want to check out crazy racing you should check out group B rally. The motor sport that was so dangerous it was eventually banned

The majority of the teams are made up of father and son, some daughter in the mix , husband and wife, that's where you you get the respect for each other.
Plus the other thing not mentioned is that the ride d passenger have to enable to work on their own machines and not just rely on a pit crew to fix it for themselves.

Over 225 years less than 250 deaths at their own behest. Usa kills that in 2 months with gun violence, drug overdoses a week.
