Happy Halloween! With our Monster filled future nearly here, i hope you enjoyed this look back at the House of Horror. Remember don't watch Chicken Run with the lights out! Part 2 of our new series will be coming in less than 2 weeks, as we head to California on our next Expedition.

As someone who had to be removed from a screening of Chicken Run in horrified tears, I find the idea of it being a horror movie incredibly vindicating...

When I tell you Van Helsing: Fortress Dracula was my favorite universal attraction and I went through it so often that the actors knew who I was!

8:09 The MPAA had some trouble rating "Chicken Run"; I remember the trailers had a "This film is not yet rated" for weeks .

I went through this house completely alone and it was amazing. The fact that I wasn’t rushed through meant I could take my time and appreciate the details and atmosphere. There was also a section where you had to walk through a dark room that smelled like rotting meat and was full of body bags hanging from the ceiling. That was genuinely scary as someone going through it entirely alone. I loved this attraction. Wish I could’ve experienced it more than once but grateful for the solo walkthrough.

I absolutely remember that damn Chicken Run maze! I went into it when I was like 11?? It was HORRIFYING. I didn't even finish it, I turned around and left. That was a core memory you just unlocked omg.

I worked Universal Studios and I remember being crowd control for that section. Chicken Run was a relaxing time, The Grinch was chaotic, especially since there was a snow slide built and often we'd have to dislodge tube riders who got stuck in the middle (usually because they were too small or lightweight), but The Mummy was my favorite to work on because the people really enjoyed it. I remember laughing with a scare actor while waiting for guests to come by and having to rescue more than one child who was frozen stiff with fear. My favorite memory was this tall Anubis character at the exit who was fairly intimidating until it let out the squeakiest sneeze I've ever heard. I enjoyed my years there.

I GOT TO GO THROUGH THAT WALKTHROUGH OF CHICKEN RUN! I almost wasn't sure it was real and was just a dream but now I get to see materials from it! You are the best

I would honestly love to see you start doing Expedition Restaurant videos.

"This expedition is not really scary...except for the chickens."
😂 Thank you for the warning. Love it.❤

Happy Halloween. I’ve been a performer at Hollywood since 2007. That building was a home for me. I also grew up with the parks past. Chicken run was an awesome walk through. Your over hype of it is hysterical.

LOL, I liked that you overexaggerated Chicken Run as a horror film and maze. XD

I want Expedition Restaurants now!

I actually went to this attraction, when it was themed to thee Universal monsters. Not all that scary, but good sets. Most of the actors would approach from a distance, then stop short; it was too easy to see them coming, & it was obvious the "monsters" couldn't actually do anything. Lots of people were screaming & laughing tho, so some must've found it scary.

The Wolfman did get me; he was hiding in the dark, & he leaped out & got directly in my face. I leaped back, then said or thought: "Good job! You scared me!"

I second Jekyll & Hyde club. I remember when I was a kid I went to a universal monsters themed restaurant in London. I can't remember the name, but you got in an elevator where it looked like you were going to get impaled. Then once you got off, the inside was designed like Frankenstein's castle, complete with old monster movies playing. Every so often electricity went through the building. The food was terrible, but it was all about the atmosphere.

I don't know why you don't get more attention as a theme park channel, your stuff is always so fun and enjoyable and the stories of the attractions you cover are easy to follow. I'm from Florida so my home park has always been Disney World yet just this past spring break I visited a friend of mine who lives in England and they made a point to bring me to Alton Towers because I had become so fascinated and obsessed with it THROUGH your videos! That amazing experience of visiting a long distance friend and having an amazing day at one of my new favorite theme parks wouldn't have happened if not for your videos so thank you and keep up all the great stuff :)

I'm so glad you're covering this. Yeah they're doing one in Las Vegas, but I've been saying up and down they should've just remade this in Epic Universe.

Oh my god I remember the Chicken Run maze! It was so fun and silly, I'm pretty sure that was the first time I was hit with an air canon, scared the hell out of me

Good to know I wasn’t the only kid who got scared by Chicken Run. I loved monster movies and claymation, but something about Chicken Run really unnerved me.

They really should've just combined the two halves of its history and made a horror-themed restaurant. I'm sure people would love Sawyer family chili or deserts dipped in liquid nitrogen.
