No one, male or female, was meant to look at themselves as much as people do today. When I was growing up, we didn't have cell phones. So the equivalent back then would have been if people carried around a mirror & looked in the mirror as much as people look at themselves in cell phones. Can you imagine that? Constantly staring at yourself in the mirror, right in front of the actual people with you? It's insane & it's not healthy. I feel bad for younger people in that sense.

One thing to mention with the stat 'Only 18% of Americans earn over $100k a year' is that I'd bet the vast majority of those are in their 40s or 50s too, not the target audience of these influencers. The number of people earning that in their 20s is vanishingly small.

33 and never held hands or been on a date. If I knew about this stuff as a kid I would 100% have done it. Most people don't understand the pressure and pain of living this way. You know that feeling when you're sitting at the funeral of a loved one, and the sadness is so much that your chest hurts, the lump in your throat and can hardly breathe? That's how I've felt for hours every day for the last 10 years, I can literally feel it killing me. If I could have afforded surgeries I would've done anything to not have this life.
