Dudes a badass - what's next?

He was the only drummer in their series that went straight into the song. Every other drummer listened to it a couple of times taking notes and such. He blew them away because he went straight in. Proves the level he's at.

Never thought I’d watch Batista reacting to Will Ferrell playing drums !

My favorite quote of the video: "Once I figured out it was in three, I was like, okay, I can kinda play along to this". That was a very strong "kinda" 😅

Love this one, no drum track, no re-listens, no notes, just dive in. Thanks Zack! (Will nails it! 😂🔥)

30 Sec to Mars probably got more downloads and plays after this video went viral, in years. It’s a great song.

I didn’t know the song till he played it, Chad is my favorite drummer.

You can’t fake improving a song the first time you hear it. Some of the great players on these episodes had 3/4 play throughs. Amazing.

You should check out Shannon Leto playing RHCP. Chad Smith showed up lol

One thing usually missed about this video is at the start, when Chad is not relying solely on a drum bag for backup sticks, but pre-posittioning backup sticks in strategic places around his kit, where he can easily grab one, no matter which part of the kit he is working at the time of a break, etc. This is why the switch was so smooth when he did have a broken stick.
